Chateau architecture and room layout! Gardens with front and side gates!! Decorations and furnishings in the rooms and shared areas! Very friendly hosts!! Real keys and windows that open! Great hillside view of t town!
Stay was much too short…. Was only given 2 out of 3 keys to get into the property after hours. Presently however other guests with the front door key arrived!

Very exciting rooms. Good family suite with very interesting furniture and ornaments. I liked the freedom of the place: you could just roam around the public areas as if it were your own house. There is no reception: just call a number and get let in. Good simple breakfast. Location is brilliant yet there is a steep road up to the medieval area.
Very little, it's a tremendous place.

The staff running the property is very nice. The location is amazing and very convenient. The grounds are really lovely and well maintained. Breakfast was great.
The decoration is purposefully odd — a mix of taxidermy and pretty average kitsch/pop ornaments/photos/craft. It’s a topic of conversation but kind of ruins the classical feel of the place. My kid slept in a room with a full sized stuffed baby deer looking at her 1m away… it’s just unnecessary. Some more vacuuming in the rooms would have been good but it wasn’t that bad.

It was a quick walk to the medieval market. The woman who worked there was helpful. It's an unusual building with lots of eccentric and interesting furnishings. Breakfast was simple but good with fresh bread.
The room was just heated by a plug in heater so the bathroom was quite cold.

Staying here was such a unique experience. It was homely and welcoming, and it was clear that so much thought had gone into the interior design of each room and living space. The staff were friendly and super helpful, accomodating our family at short notice. The included breakfast was delightful, and a good opportunity to chat with fellow travellers.

The attitude of all the staff who showed friendly professionalism and concern. They were humorous and informative, always with natural ready smiles. We felt like part of a family….they chatted well in 2 languages to help with advice which was especially helpful. The eccentric boutique appearance; all rooms were dressed beautifully and with interest. The exterior space, paths, gardens. Excellent food.
The room was a bit too hot, I hadn’t realised there were radiators on. My problem…but if I had realised I would have asked for them to be switched off.

Lovely old eclectic and quirky old house with unusual old decor. Despite being only 10 minutes walk from town centre, was quiet, so you woke to birds singing. Was warm when I was there, so not sure what like in winter. Good coffee at breakfast.
Although I loved my attic room with roll top bath, was not as keen on other rooms I seen, as all quite different, but is personal taste.

Stunning stately home in amazing location! We loved how close it was to the local attractions but was so peaceful and quiet.
Just be aware the stairs are tight and steep.

wonderful hospitality. Daniel truly made us feel welcome and at home. the décor in the hotel is special and made us smile continuously dinner was excellent - food tasty and nicely presented. the staff attentive and the setting in the garden was a real bonus thank you
we asked for the moulin rouge room but it was very hot that day and Daniel suggested a cooler room which was the right thing to do due to lack of air-conditioning but the room itself was a bit disappointing with a very small shower especially compared to the other rooms.

Liked the house, room, garden, town, location
Would like to come back when it's not so cold. Could not sit in the lounge and during breakfast in the morning it was cold. However fully understand that it's difficult to heat the house downstairs for just 2 rooms. We were very comfortable in our room
