Nice place for a one night stopover. Nothing too much trouble for the Edwin. Quiet rural setting with nice views. Room was ok but little too warm, no air conditioning. Communal meal with fellow travellers, good food and good wine too. Vey good breakfast too. GF food available for one of our party. Would recommend.

The gardens were a little too "back to nature" for our liking and could have done with a bit of tidying, the same with the communal area. It all seemed as though it could do with a little bit of care and attention. A shame really as underneath it all it is a lovely little stopover.

We loved everything about Le Chalet Champenois. The location is perfect for exploring Champagne and Edwin is a marvelous host, very attentive and generous with excellent recommendations. His breakfasts are hearty and delicious and he’s happy to whip up dinner on short notice you feel like staying in for the evening. We certainly hope to return and will highly recommend to others.

Everything! A truly amazing family getaway in the heart of the French countryside. Our stay was quiet and peaceful. The food was simply fantastic, and our host was wonderful and very personable. We can't wait for our next visit.

Amazing host. We had a wonderful stay. Food was superb. Although we hadn't ordered the host went out of his way to cook dinner for us when he saw that we were hiking and had no car with us. Rooms and garden were really nice. Highly recommend this property

Quiet and charming, beautiful garden and the friendliest host. Room was spacious, food perfect. It's a special place for non-standard travelling. Our dog was very welcome, too.

Just a lovely B&B in the French countryside. We stayed in the two story L’Appartement de Luxe, which was perfect. Our host was gracious and helped us navigate the rhythm of life in the country (there are no restaurants open between two and seven pm). Views from the property were phenomenal. Breakfast was excellent, and the coffee was the best I have ever had.

Common area furniture wasn’t very comfortable and could stand to be replaced.

The host was very friendly and gave very good advice about what to do in the area. The area is quiet and peaceful and the surroundings lovely. The apartment was very clean and spacious and breakfast was fresh and abundant. Edwin the host made us feel very welcome. Despite being cut off from busy towns, lovely restaurants recommended were close by.

Edwin was the perfect host at a great property. Set above Bethon with great far reaching views, room was comfortable and with a great shower room. Edwin organised Champagne tasting for us and was able to recommend a great nearby creperie for us to dine at. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was plentiful. Really enjoyable stay as we travelled back north through France. Only downside was it was just one night! Would definitely recommend

it was a long drive from south to north, whilst we did try to keep our hosts with our approx. arrival information, they assured us it was no stress at all. the place is really well situated with many champagne villages and towns within easy driving distances. it has been a superb stay and we will be back for more.

none
