The staff was accommodating and the room we had was very quiet, clean and spacious. Parking is very cheap and close by. The location is super central. There is a bathtub. Very fair price. Overall, a great stay. Warmly recommend the place and will return.

I missed a coffee machine in the room (we only had instant coffee). There is a free coffee machine at the reception (no self service though), but it would have been more practical to have it in the room. I also think that the carpets and the furniture are in need of a bit of renovation. Old but clean.

The room was great

The breakfast was a complete shambles. Everything was in short supply. The juice had gone, the coffee machine had no milk. The breakfast was generally in short supply.The staff seemed oblivious to what was happening. A true lack of leadership. We have stayed here numerous times and have always been pleased with everything. I don’t want to complain but you need to get things organised.

Hotel location was good, the property is nice and functional. The little italian restaurants gets a big thumbs up for friendly staff and good food. Gym was small but works fine and nice to have the option. Close to park so that was great. nice atmosphere and in morning (Saturday) there is a fruit and veg market outside.

Dinner: I tried to have dinner but the restaurant was fully booked (at check in they could advise to book restaurant). Room service is from same restaurant so they couldnt offer me room service until after 9pm (It was 630 pm). The bar/lounge wouldnt offer a sandwich. In general the bar staff seemed to just want to say no to me looking for food. But as mentioned above the italian restaurant were helpful, friendly and great food. Beer was cold too :-)

Cleanliness and comfort

They have carried out an emergency dril without prior notice to guests. We had to leave the rooms and wait for more than 1 hours outside of the hotel until everything was restored. There was no explanation/justification or apology for the inconvenience by anyone from the hotel.

The hotel is in excellent location, in the heart of town, just next to Marie and Château. The Chateau has a beautiful park for running. The hotel serves continental breakfast, the staff was friendly.

As 4* hotel it is too basic- the furniture, the interior in general. For example, the air-conditioning in our room was so noisy, that it was almost impossible to sleep. The fridge was not working and the receptionist cannot find any other solution as just offer a drink, which was kind from his side.

Excellent location! Breakfast was satisfying, with many protein choices. The fitness center was well equipped with weights and machines. The room was quite large with a comfortable bed.

There were not any fresh fruits for breakfast. The splash shield above the tub leaked water onto the floor.

Very comfortable Hotel and staff very friendly and accommodating of our dogs. Delicious dinner at the Hotel.

There wasn’t much left at breakfast even though I went at around 9am. A large party of guests had clearly eaten earlier and finished most of it!! I just had croissants and coffee.

Central position to old town and Chateau. Several hundred metres only to large safe area for walking dogs off leads.

No private parking. Parking underground in a tight place for parking. The exit barrier failed to work and caused problems for a half hour!

Friendly staff, with smiles and cookies for the doggy, nice and light interior, great room with small fridge.

No warm welcome in the restaurant, unfriendly and unattentive chap. We were happy to see other staff (young women) taking over and ate a nice dinner (ceviche and sea bream).

Perfect location to see the chateau and explore town. Many restaurants near by. Convenient public parking nearby.

We had a “privilege room with double bed”. No bigger room was available. The room was small, no robes, few amenities. Other Mercure properties where we stayed had bigger rooms and nicer amenities for the same price.
