This is a very rural small guest house in a small, hilly village. We found the location to be very quiet and waking-up to the sound of spring water flowing into the horse trough in the yard outside the window was the best alarm clock ever. Breakfast was healthy and more than sufficient. The coffee, cafe au lait, was exceptional. The host was very friendly. If we are every in this area again we would certainly try to stay here.

Arriving at La maisn du vannier was like being welcomed home. Anne-Sophie greeted us like old friends. She has a wonderful warm approach and wasted no time in showing us around and making us feel completely at ease. The room had everything that we needed, has really fun decoration, a comfy bed, and super shower. We had use of the communal kitchen to make tea/coffee, even prepare our own meals if we needed to, and could keep drinks/food in the communal fridge/freezer. In the morning we were treated to an amazing continental breakfast.. it was a real feast. It was a shame we were only there for one night! Great value for money. Nothing, everything was perfect.

It was a great experience to stay at the Vaniers place. The environment is breathtaking, the nature is amazing an the village is charming. We stayed two nights, the beds, bathrooms and linen are super clean and comfortable. But the most pleasurable were the hosts. We had great conversations about the environment, they were insightful and very helpful. Thank You!

After a beautiful drive down into the valley, we found the property very easily. The host was waiting for us, to show us where to park. He brought us to our room, showed us the amenities and handed over the keys.

When we were going to sleep, you could hear the people in the neighboring room coming in. They weren't loud, but comments and doors closing could be heard. The beds were solid but alright to sleep in.

Charming 17th-18th century house with very warmly hospitable hosts who could not be more obliging. Blissfully peaceful surroundings - the loudest noise to disrupt the otherwise deep tranquility is the occasional caterwauling of the local tom: incredibly restful bucolic surroundings and no traffic beyond the odd agricultural vehicle.

Beautiful location in very pretty village in the Vosges. Good walking and cycling routes from the door. Comfortable large bed in large room. Modern en-suite bathroom. Generous breakfast.

In addition to all the wonderful reviews, I would like to add, that this place is child-friendly and has a little play room near the kitchen, where children can play while parents can enjoy their breakfast! Lovely place and lovely hosts!
