I arrived after a long day on the road to a very friendly welcome by Grégory who gave the few necessary explanations and showed me my spacious twin room as well as the communal kitchen and bathrooms. Everything is very clean, usefully equipped, comfortable, and my bed was really very good. The house is a few hundred meters from the country road to Chambéry which could be heard but was not too loud. I slept well and would definitely stay again. Merci bien!

Gregory was a brilliant host. He welcomed us very warmly and even offered us a better room than the one we had booked. We opted for a dinner and he made a very enjoyable vegetarian meal including home grown ingredients. The property was quiet and peaceful with some shared spaces that were kept clean and orderly. If you'd forgotten any essentials (toothpaste etc) these were available to buy.

Unfortunately, the guest next to us was a snorer and the walls very thin. Not much to be done, but we'd definitely recommend you bring ear plugs if noises bother you. The bed was a little uncomfortable but fine for the good price. Again, could bother you if you are a light sleeper.

It was a hot room but it was also hot outside. Nvertheless I slept well.

Noise levels at night during our stay.

-Very clean, pleasant and comfortable place to stay. -Nice garden. -On the request you can have breakfast and dinner, all from local products and very delicious. -Very friendly host. -Parking right next to the property. -Situated in a nice and quite area. We enjoyed our stay very much and recommend it.

Very large and comfortable room with very hospitable French host that only spoke a little English but had no trouble conversing with us!

We arrived at the hotel about 22.00 hours, approximately three hours later than our supposed check-in time. Gregory, the hotel owner welcomed us nevertheless in a very friendly way. The breakfast served in the morning at the desired time was very nice and plenty. Another highlight worth mentioning, is the cutest little dog there. All in all a very pleasant stay at Villa Détente Dauphinoise.

There was nothing to dislike.

The owner is extremely friendly. Very basic, but it is a gite. Very authentic.
