- This is the best location you can get in Tignes - walking distance to the lifts leading to both sides of the resort. I mean literally you just need to cross the street. - Excellent breakfast with a view of the Tignes valley. - Very friendly and funny staff. - Nice, a bit old-school vibe of a mountain chalet (it’s one of the oldest buildings in town).

- I had quite an old room that deserves some renovation. However the bathroom was refreshed and everything worked as intended. - The hotel does not provide any parking spots. However they let me park in front of the building until I sorted out where to keep my car during my stay. For shorter stays you cannot book anything and you need to solve this in the tourist office of Tignes. Since all the underground parkings were completely full, they told me to park on a street with a special ticket.

Stayed at Le Refuge early March 2025. Rooms were ideal for us (group of 5 friends in a twin and a triple), not huge but enough space for what we needed. Hotel location is fantastic for kicking off and ending the day on the slopes. Storage for snowboards very convenient which helps at the end of a long day. Even better were the spa facilities which we used most days to rejuvenate our battered limbs! Lovely breakfast spread which we had to pay for as wasn't included in the Booking.com price, but well worth it. Staff friendly and helpful.

No complaints - loved the place!

The location was the best part. You could access all lifts very conveniently. The breakfast was in the top floor with great views. The sauna and steam room were great.

The rooms were a bit outdated and not enough storage for a ski trip. The breakfast was ok but not a lot of warm options. The hot tub should be renamed warm tub. But this seems to be the case for the area. Staff seemed to be in a bad mood in the mornings and apathetic at other times.

Location location location - fantastic central location with easy access to all the ski lifts in Tignes Le Lac - effectively ski in ski out. Charming chalet hotel with history and nicely finished throughout; complementary ski lockers and hot tub / steam room / sauna a bonus

Rooms nicely finished but pillows were a weird square shape and uncomfortable. Could not control heat in room (either too warm with windows closed / too cold with windows open) A bigger cooked breakfast option for UK guests (ie - sausages / beans / cooked tomatoes / mushrooms / poached or fried eggs) ENGLISH Tea!

Location, location, location - outstanding location both the resort itself Tignes les Lac and the hotels location right in the centre of the resort. lovely staff, amazing restaurant underneath hotel. hotel was clean and spa section was high quality (although one hot tub wasn’t working when we were there). pool table and quiet bar area good for relaxing as a group

room was quite basic, small and a little tired. we had three people in one room and there was a sofa bed that would take a fourth. I think four people would be uncomfortable but when on a skiing holiday we don’t spend much time in the room so depends on what’s important. Price was high I thought… but no different to other hotels in high altitude resorts. breakfast selection was limited but nice nonetheless.

The hotel has a nice traditional feel, good facilities and activities available in the hotel. The location is probably the best of any hotel in town right next to lifts and rental shops. The hotel is essentially ski in/ ski out. Staff were helpful and friendly and easy to communicate with before and during the stay.

Friendly staff, great location, rooms were comfortable and well equipped. Absolutely recommended.

The architecture put me off a bit, tbh. Tignes has great modernist architecture from the 1950s to the 1970s in the neighborhood, but this building has been modified to give it what they call locally the "fake-chalet" look, a non-authentic style which in my view is a bit too Disney land. That's a bit of a pity, cause the building had a very authentic style for decades. Other than that, it's a great hotel though and recommended

The hotel is incredibly well located for accessing the mountain and the breakfast was amazing.

The hotel could have been cleaner, I woke every night suffering from dust allergies and the spa is in need of a refurbishment/deep clean.

Hotel Refuge is a perfect location in Tignes La Lac. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and very comfortable room and bed. Will definitely return.

Everything was wonderful.

It was a wonderful location. Having a balcony was excellent. The breakfast was excellent as well.

We were in our room and another guest unlocked the door and walked in. They apologized. We went down to the front desk and they said sorry it was a mix up. I felt they could have been more sorry about it.
