We stayed at the property as we were attending a wedding near by. Air conditioning was an absolute bonus, the staff were helpful and we were given access to the laundry room to iron our outfits before leaving for the ceremony. We were slightly worried about noise levels with the rooms being above a busy pub but were surprised how quiet it actually was. Would definitely recommend as a base for exploring the surrounding areas.

The only issue we had was the staff using the small veranda/landing outside our room for their breaks. Also if you have limited mobility the stairs to the rooms may be an issue.

Old, quirky, building with loads of character and exactly as described. Were able to use ironing facilities in housekeeping room. Private garage for 9euros a night about 4 mins walk from the hotel. Hotel was above a bar but not a problem, our room was on the top floor and very quiet. Seating area outside for drinks and great sausage! Staff really friendly and helpful and always someone there who spoke good English.

Not obvious how to work parking meters in public car parking opposite the hotel where we parked whilst checking in and getting the key to the garage. Not a dislike as it wasn’t a problem for us, but our room on the top floor was up a spiral staircase which would not be suitable for people with mobility problems and there is no lift.

Central and close to the station and a quaint hotel dating from 1807 - eight years before Waterloo. Downstairs there is an Irish pub with great staff and a live traditional Irish music session on the first Thursday of the month.

Despite the description, there is no hotel parking, just a public car park opposite which is free overnight but exorbitantly expensive in the day as it is a short term car park. We parked at a park and ride car park near the station. Both car parks have security cameras. There are lots of stairs but that reflects the age and character of the property.

I stayed at "The Liberty's" to avoid the high cost of staying in Lyon during the Festival of Lights. The parking was so convenient which is a must. And the train was right behind the hotel about 3 to 4 minutes away. My plan worked perfectly. The staff was so friendly and check in went perfect. The pub below my room was perfect. The bartender made some very delicious drinks. The atmosphere in the pub was really nice. The room was nice and clean and comfortable. The bathroom was very nice as well. I will for sure stay here in the future if I make it back to Lyon for another Light Festival in the future or to just visit the area again. I love those French Pastries and all the foods.

There was nothing I didn't like about the hotel. I was 100% pleased and happy with my stay. The only problem I had was that I had to leave.

We liked the location and nearby secure parking. Staff was super, Pub was great, good food. The room was tiny, but for the one night we were there it was ok. This old building has great character.

Only the tiny size of the room, everything else was great.

a funny place to stay for the night, had to climb a strange round staircase to reach my room on the 3. floor, meal was superb, exactly what a biker needs to fill up again, the gaufres for dessert was marvelous yummy

Little bit noisy on road- but I left window open at night as the heating was so efficient and I forgot to turn it off!!

The room was clean and had everything that we required. The bed was comfortable. It was good value for money.

We are both in our seventies and our room was on the third floor. To access it we had to climb a winding spiral staircase which was not ideal especially with luggage.

My whole stay was fantastic, the staff were amazing, and the place looks amazing

If there was anything, it was the smokers standing just outside the front door

The room was very quiet on the third floor. The aircon was much appreciated. The bed was comfortable and I slept very well.
