We wanted somewhere off the road, but not too far from the Autoroute. This gem of a place is at the heart of south burgundy and in the middle of white wine territory. Elodie was very helpful and accommodated our every wish. The pool is lovely, breakfast superb and our room a delight. Mikael has encyclopaedic knowledge of the wines of the entire Bourgogne and further afield and helped us select some beautiful red and white burgundy from his hand picked large selection of favourites, at great prices!! We also managed to get a great off road bicycle ride in, through lovely vineyards and lush forest… All this in an upmarket mini chateau!

We stayed at Clos de Ceres in July and had a truly wonderful experience. The room was individually and tastefully decorated, combining charm and comfort in the best way. The garden is absolutely beautiful – a peaceful place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Our host was very attentive and welcoming, making us feel right at home. One of the highlights of our stay was the delicious homemade breakfast, prepared with care using fresh, regional, and healthy ingredients.

We loved the character of the property, the garden is very large but secluded. Our host Elodie made us very welcome right from the start she exceeded our expectations we had lost our way and she went above and beyond to help us. Our room was large with a great shower room everything is exceptionally clean we absolutely loved our stay, thank you Elodie for making our stay so special, we would definitely visit again.

If you are looking for more than hotel room, if you are looking for a less formal accomodation in a  historical ambiente  with a beautiful garden, the possibility to cook by your own, to spend time in different rooms in the house if it is outside unpleasant, than you find with Elodies Clos de Ceres the right place.

We'll never forget this. One night, we got to the mansion after having dinner at a most charming local French restaurant that served such tender Stewed Beef, slow-cooked in the deepest red wine. We stepped out of the car, looked up, and saw the sky scattered with stars. Living in light-polluted cities, we never see this. The starry sky as a backdrop to the enchanting mansion was, magical. Thank you for your open and welcoming hospitality. Your homemade jams with fruits plucked from your garden and locally sourced cheeses nourished our bellies. They'd forgotten how good and pure food can taste. Thank you for all the tips and places to visit you shared. And, Mr. Eric, a special thank you for enriching our lives with your deep knowledge of the region's wine history. The stories you shared captivated our imagination.

A perfect stop on our way down through France. Stunning house full of character and history, very clean and with thoughtful charms to create a unique get away. I particularly liked playing the grand piano. Elodie made our stay memorable and was very attentive to our requests, providing a delicious breakfast and recommendations for cycling routes.

Beautiful traditional farm house with character features mixed with modern facilities. Lovely hosts and excellent communication. The bed was amazing, so comfortable. Shame we didn’t get to try the pool but maybe next time. Would definitely stay again. Thank you

The decor and overall feel is amazing, like being in a farmhouse from 21st century.

Just like any property close to nature, there was a fair amount of flies, but it didn’t bother us.

We had two rooms and the comfort of one was not the same as the other. However, you could not fault the room upstairs for a comfortable bed and lovely shower facilities. The breakfast was also good with fresh croissants, jams oj among other things. We liked the countryside, vineyards, villages and lovely restaurants in the area. The pool table and piano added to the experience.

The pool. I am also debating in mentioning that our hosts were not the most welcoming and we felt that we were walking on eggshells when they were around. I appreciate that it’s a huge old house which needs renovations and care so it’s expensive to upkeep.

Beautiful place. Bedroom was gorgeous with a huge luxury bathroom. Hosts were welcoming,, friendly -lovely feeling in their home. Amazing breakfast - in fact the best we had in our travels over last three weeks. Definitely a place to relax and will return.
