Located in village off the beaten track and because of this very unexpected. Our bedroom certainly had the wow factor and the rest of the hotel was beautifully decorated. The owner/chef and his wife were very welcoming from drinks outside to the most wonderful evening meal-absolutely superb! Breakfast outside on the terrace the next morning was delightful in the balmy morning air with an assortment of croissants, bread, jams, fruit, ham and cheese, yogurt, juice. Exceptional. Everything was thought of and the all important personal touch means that we would definitely return. A bonus was easy parking right outside the hotel.

Absolute 100% memorable experience. From the moment you arrive you will be met with discreet cordiality and attentiveness. We ate dinner at the restaurant (Chef Frederic Carrion) and were delighted with a burst of flavours and colour. Truely one of the best meals I have ever eaten. I need a separate page to describe each dish. We stayed in the Junior Suite which is spacious and spotless. And wow - what a comfortable bed. A wonderfully memorable time due to Frederic Carrion, his wife and team. Thank you. We will be back.

Our second stay here - excellent service for a small hotel, lovely individual rooms. Excellent food - both evening meal (great tasting menu) and exceptional breakfast too. Lovely walks up into the vineyards & pretty hillside above the hotel. Quiet location in a small wine village - good winery opposite with helpful staff for degustation and there is also a small shop/restaurant/boulangerie opposite the hotel. Easy parking in front. Great location for exploring locally - Cluny, Tournus, and Beaujolais area

We cannot praise the hotel enough: from the welcome on our arrival, the care taken to ensure that we were happy with the room and that it was suitable for our dogs as well, to the delicious dinner in the evening. The owner also went far above and beyond our expectations in helping us sort out our major car breakdown: he found a garage ready to fix it (not easy!), arranged a pick-up truck, and ensured that we were all OK. He has our heartfelt thanks!

Boutique hotel with comfortable rooms and very comfortable beds. Fantastic coffee at breakfast. Frederick and his wife were superb hosts. Dinner prepared for hotel guests despite restaurant closure. The food was delicious. The wine list was comprehensive; we didn’t want to buy an expensive wine so Frederick found one in the cellar more appropriately priced for us.

Fred and his partner are very friendly. Restaurant top notch with tasting menus. Great wine list including local gems. Village quaint. Decoration of the hotel amazing. Suite spacious and warm. Family loves the hotel and the room. Electric charger with two slots. Stayed twice. We will visit again.

quirky mix of modern and more traditional

We were looked after from start to finish. The food, the hospitality and the attention to detail were second to none. The food and drink is expensive but you get what you pay for…..it was fabulous and worth every penny. Highly recommend and will visit again when travelling back to Scotland.
