The jetty was great - a lot of tours drop or pick you up from here. Staff were beautiful and super friendly. I was lucky and got to check in early as I arrived early. Swimming out the front was beautiful. You can walk to the supermarket if you need. I really loved this place, I was able to unpack my suitcase and feel at home. I was in a bungalow which I really loved.

Strange there wasn’t a kettle to make a tea in the room. Also strange they requested you drink bottled water when the tap water is certified drinkable per the map. I drank the water the whole time and had no issues.

Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and well-appointed fares with good beds and showers. Great snorkelling right off the restaurant jetty – don’t miss it! At least some tour operators (Tiki Tours, Polynesian Dreamboat) will pick up from the resort or from the Pao Pao embarcadère (dock) right next door. Internet reception is patchy but works well in the seating area next to reception, so this is manageable. There’s a bookcase full of books to borrow or exchange. Just 5 minutes’ walk to a good pizza/burger place; 20 minutes in the other direction to Maharepa, where café Caraméline has excellent breakfasts and the coffee is good.

Almost the only place I have stayed in 40 years of travel with no tea/coffee facilities in the room – a real disappointment given the lack of cafés in the vicinity. Bring your own snorkelling gear and beach towel – renting from the hotel is expensive. Breakfast is overpriced – if you have the energy (or transport) there are better options in Maharepa.

The location on and over the water was spectacular - as we expected. Having a private swimming/snorkelling area at the 'door' of the property, with coral and marine life easily visible was a wonderful bonus. The food, both breakfasts and dinners were high quality always. The staff were always friendly, co-operative, helpful, positive and genuinely interested in providing top quality service. Comfortable beds. Tim was able to book us the best whale watching excursion which included taxi pick up. In addition, he was able to get us e-bikes delivered directly to hotel. We were able to bike to waterfall. Decent walk to town with the best smoothies in town at Rainbow Smoothies next to Moorea Treasure. Accommodations were great and scenery was nice.

Coffee was weak but drinks were good

I was not expecting much after reading some of these reviews, but we were very happy. This is not a big modern resort, but is more like a small French/Polynesian hotel—to us it was a much more authentic experience. The bungalow we stayed in was newly renovated, very clean and comfortable. Has some of the best snorkeling on the island.

We got the meal plan, which limits dinner to a couple of choices…if you are doing this for more than a few days the menu can feel monotonous. But everything is very good and portions are HUGE.

Snorkeling directly from the beach was exceptional- saw many species of fish, sea turtle and stingray. Room was clean, cozy and private with comfortable chairs on the porch for enjoying the beautiful view. Staff was very helpful and friendly

Wish the room would have had amenities for making coffee or tea in the room. Wish they would have had options for a smaller/less expensive breakfast.

Room was simple, large and bed comfortable. Nice patio out front to sit on. Beautiful reef off hotel dock. Friendly, helpful staff. Wonderful classic Polynesian vibe, in Cooks Bay, the most beautiful bay in the world...

Every additional thing had a cost, food was quite expensive for what you got. I had to change my departure day to earlier, and could not do it through Booking.com for some reason, I called hotel and told them I needed to change my departure for 2 days earlier, I was told they couldn't do it online either, and not to worry, they'd do it at check-in. At check-in I was told I could not be refunded the money, it would be applied as credit in restaurant. Which they did honor, but as a single traveler, there was no way I could eat or drink that much food, so I ended up forfeiting quite a bit of money.

It’s near the super market and the tour agency as well as the port of departure for the tours. Very nice view of the mountains and in general the staff is very nice.

Weak WiFi signal. The housekeeping is definitely not the best, the room was poorly cleaned after our request and We even had an argument with the housekeeper who assumed we had taken the hair dryer just because it was not in the room and we had requested it.
