A special spot in a beautiful location. We enjoyed two nights in a lagoon front bungalow, which are very good value for Moorea. I'm so glad I booked despite the many negative reviews. The views are exceptional.The staff and owners were kind. I was so grateful they allowed us to check in 4 hours early at 8am, when my young daughter and I arrived drenched from the ferry. Guests had just left, and they readied the space for us right away. I so appreciated this. Sure, the place overall could do with some TLC, but from my perspective the positives of this place we'll outweigh that. We were in the last of the three lagoon front bungalows, and this is definitely the sweet spot, with good privacy and no other guests walking in front of your deck. I think the expectations of some other guests may have been too high. For the price range and location, I'd say this would be hard to beat.

The shower was quite broken, and I didn't raise this with the management as ours was a short stay. The only other downside for us was the lack of a kettle. They charge 200 xpf for a cup of hot water. Sounds crazy, but if I were staying a week or more, I'd bring my own kettle. The fridge was useful however. No fan but you don't need it with the beautiful sea breeze. Don't expect five stats here, but it's fine just as it is.

The location, right on the water, was spectacular. The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of hot water. We appreciated having a refrigerator in the room. The property and the Island felt very safe and we enjoyed keeping the sliding doors wide open while we slept.

The "cabin" was rustic and there were no screens on the windows or the doors. A mosquito net was provided and insects did not prove to be a problem during our February stay. I can't say we didn't like or expect this but I think it is good for guests to know as a means of managing expectations. We would have appreciated having a hot plate or an electric kettle to prepare our own coffee/tea or small meals. There are two road side restaurants within walking distance. There is also a full service restaurant on the property which we found mediocre. For us, renting a car was essential to get to beaches and hiknig trails and town. The heat was intense and the road to "everywhere" is paved and relatively unshaded making walking distances over a mile a sweaty push.

Out of our entire trip which included several stays in Tahiti and Moorea, this one was by far the most special. We had a lagoon facing bungalow which meant we could leave our sliding door open at night to hear the ocean and feel a breeze. The mosquito net provided worked wonders, and added to a restful sleep. We knew facilities were limited and are avid campers so had basic crockery, utensils and a hydroboil (portable mini gas stove) which we used to make coffee and cook some meals. The fridge and freezer provided enabled us to shop once and keep everything we needed cold and fresh. The snorkling off the property was spectacular and probably our preferred amongst the other adjacent beaches. The outdoor shower was great too! We saw dolphins, sharks, a stingray and heaps of fish from our little deck while drinking coffee in the mornings and enjoyed even the rainy days in the calm, reading books and staring at the landscape.

Its by no means a 5 star hotel, with the bungalows pretty dated, but for what we paid, we could not have asked for anything better.

Lovely site gorgeous little units with clean bathrooms lighting soaps and convenient fridges. Lots of attention to details and woven walls. Just spectacular room. Nice deck and convenient outdoor furniture.Snorkelling was great. Wonderful little jetty and shelter. They let us come early at 10am. There is a little convenience shop. This place really exceeded our expectations. Next time we will stay at this accommodation the whole time we spend on this island. It was far the best out of 3 we experienced. Also the best price.

I was a bit shy to go to the restaurant maybe a free coffee voucher would have broken my reservations. I wish they were kayaks to explore the beautiful surroundings. We were a little sad all the front beach/side units were already full. Perhaps little shorter vegetation could have given us a little more sea view. Would be good to have a jug in the room to boil water.

The location was great and I was able to snorkel. The price is amazing compared to other places in the same area. Friendly family owned.

The pillows were huge!! I know this sounds like a weird “did not like” but they were like a foot tall!! lol the only.real disappointing thing was the restaurant was never open. They listed some hours to me when I first arrived but it was closed most evenings. The first day I got a salad and beer, but I would have loved to order food and drink a few other times and no one is staffed. The restaurant space is huge, nice, equipped and a shame not utilized.

A waterfront bungalow with a deck? We absolutely loved it. We wanted a waterfront experience without paying the crazy high prices of an overwater bungalow, and this was an awesome option for a good price! I don't really understand the negative reviews of this place. If you read the description and listen to the check-in instructions upon your arrival, everything is made super clear! Yes, it's by the road, as are most of the houses and hotels on this island since the road follows the coastline. Yes, there are some bugs, but that's what's to be expected when you're staying on a tropical island. No, there's no beach (as you can see in the photos), and there really only are a couple of beaches on the entire island, but there's a dock you can swim off of and amazing snorkeling just outside your bedroom door. What more could you ask for? Our bed had a mosquito net and a fan kept us nice and cool in the evenings. The staff was incredibly kind and informed us of the meal times upon our arrival. Most of the island follows those same meal times too. I highly recommend!

Everything met our expectations! Nothing we didn't like.

Pension Motu Iti was ideal for a getaway for my husband and myself. We loved being able to snorkel and swim right off out front. We had an oceanfront cabina. We loved the views, the sunsets and sunrise, the small fridge, the fan and the clothesline to dry our clothes. The bed was comfortable. There was a bug net but we did not need it.

No window screens, but they don't seem to exist in French Polynesia. We stayed at 8 different places over 3 weeks and found screens nowhere.

Motu Iti was a great place to stay! I'm not sure why the rating isn't higher. You can get a beachfront hut for the best price on the island. Now, you need to know in advance that there is no A/C and no Breakfast included with the beach or garden hut rentals. But it was comfortable enough with open windows and the fan running. And, you have a mini fridge for drinks and small snacks. The beach is gorgeous, and the dock is a great place to hang out. The wifi worked great. I was out exploring the Island during most meal times but the one thing I ordered from the restaurant was tasty. I would absolutely return here whenever I'm back in Moorea! The staff was so nice and helpful, too. Hope to see you all again!

very nice bungalow on the beach with beautiful views. staff welcomed us, even though we came late in the evening, and they actually brought dinner to our table infront of the bungalow, so we could enjoy are meal in peace. one evening we locked ourselves out by accident, and they kindly helped us back into the bungalow, even though we woke them up.

the food in the restaurant could be a bit better.
