Wifi was the worst ever - a complicated system of many zones, each requiring a password as one moved around the complex. Very bad bandwidth and hard for me to work - often hours of no reception so communication to Uk very difficult. IT staff did their best to assist but whatever they did often only improved things for a short while. If booking do check to see if they have invested in a better system if you rely on consistent IT/wifi whilst you are away.

I didn't eat in the restaurants - but the breakfast was generous and staff 5* BUT no variety at all so after 10 days I was a bit fed up with the buffet salads - exactly the same each day - and not very interesting. Hot buffet the same and very dry overcooked bacon....Hotel Guest Relation Manager agreed, said that this had been mentioned before and they would be working on improving this offering. But I gather that the buffet on the gala New Year dinner was incredible and offered a huge range of really well cooked dishes.

I've stayed in many hotels around Gambia and Coco Ocean is the best. It just speaks luxury from the spa to the rooms to the staff and cuisine I booked the deluxe Seaview room and it was lovely. The housekeep had fresh flowers arranged before my arrival. As I was ground floor I had a beautiful view of the beach and sea. It's spacious and clean. Room service was top tier. I asked for breakfast in my room and it arrived hot I like that you feel like you're in your own home. It doesn't feel like a hotel. It feels like an apartment with Seaviews, room service and class

I discovered they rent out a party space. It was Saturday night the band and loud music continued until 2 am outdoors. I will ask next time if they have any outdoor events during the evening. This was a horrible experience. Sunday tomorrow is my last day and I will be too tired to enjoy the beautiful beach. Not happy

I would like to express my highest appreciation to the exceptional staff at Coco Ocean Resort—Ebrima Bojang, Ibraima Manneh, Sumira (the kind pregnant lady), and Ousmane (affectionately known as Smille)—for making my stay truly memorable. Their attentive care and warmth made all the difference.

Areas for improvement include providing hair caps, toothbrushes with toothpaste, and small hairbrushes in the amenities, as well as upgrading the quality of the shower gel and shampoo offered.

The breakfast was good and the staff very friendly expecially Usman who served us tasty omelette. Amadou who is a backroom staff, worked tirelessly to make our stay enjoyable.

Unfortunately, they didn't provide any African or specifically, Gambia delicate essen for break. They had no facilities for disabled persons but are willing to give a hand.

The staff went above and beyond what was asked of them, as I was getting married, and just commented at reception and a team of people from housekeeping showed up and decorated the room with beautiful flowers. The Executive Chef, One Hatab Tamba, and his team went above and beyond, as They didn't know that I was an International chef, that has worked all around the world. I'm extremely grateful for Chef Tamba allowing me to come into his kitchen and do a demonstration. My hat goes off to the whole culinary department, as they're doing miracles with outdated equipment. Chef Tamba and the whole team at Coco Ocean Hotel made my stay amazing and would book again, just to see the staff.

Being in the Hospitality Industry for over 35 years, I would like to see the owners invest more in the equipment for the everyday running of such a beautiful property. With some easy modifications, this is achievable, making it a better working environment. One example there was no Dishwashing Machine in the Pot Wash area where dishes were to be cleaned this was all done by hand. The Gentleman proudly showed me his work area and I was amazed he did this all by hand.

We liked the area, the beach and the facilities a lot. Also the staff at the reception was really helpful.

The staff at breakfast was rather unfriendly.

Friendly, helpful staff. Relaxed atmosphere. Plenty of areas to lounge around the pools. Lovely view of the beach. Breakfast was very nice. Twenty-four-hour bar.

Although this is a lovely place it is well overdue for a lick of paint if not a complete refurb. The wardrobe doors were impossible to close. The wrought iron balustrades have rust showing through. Wi-fi is very poor. Sometimes we drink wine. It is hard to believe a hotel of this size would run out of wine. The wine we were drinking that is, there were other varieties available.

The staff could have not been more wonderful. Lovely sprawling hotel complex. We were kindly upgraded. So grateful. Room was enormous, if being hyper critical I would say that there is room for some modernisation but, we cannot fault our stay.
