Very modern. Close to the main shopping area of Ahaus. Excellent restaurant, with a British theme and a good variety of beers, adjacent to the hotel.

Too many apps and gadgets for the doors and room functions, and several didn’t work. This was often frustrating for our tech-friendly grown children and us. The only humans connected to the hotel worked in the adjacent restaurant. The restaurant closed at 9:00 on the evening of the Euro final but we weren’t told this while sitting there ordering drinks at 8:45. So we left at halftime. It’s not their fault, but there is major street repair taking place in front of the hotel and this causes parking and noise issues.

The whole concept is great. Especially controlling all the room features via your phone was fun and very convenient. There is fresh water, still and sparkling, from a fountain in the hallway and an espresso machine for a nice coffee. The bed is very comfortable and has good pillows.

There was only one stool to sit on. It would have been nice to provide seating for two. Apart from that, everything was excellent.

Exceptional value for money! Loved the design. Once you get the hang of using your phone as the remote control for everything, it’s easy to use.

The lights of the hallway are very bright and turn on automatically when walking to the bathroom. It’s disturbing when it’s in the middle of the night.

It was a nice hotel, but since everything had to be organised with an app and I was not aware about this information, the check in procedure was a bit problematic. App did work properly and the rooms were nice.

The guests could be informed a bit better about how to prepare for their trip. We had to be helped by the personel of the bar, but he was really nice. Since there were many wedding guests in the hotel, we heard many people come home in the middle of the night. Unfortunately, our room was not cleaned

very clever idea that allowed us to access our room as soon as we arrived with very little problems. it took some work to find the bike garage. also had a bit of a problem using the lift - were able to go down before nice but not up and next day it didn’t seem to work at all. the food for breakfast was very good and burgers for dinner were also great. loved the large “fridge” in room.Might be nice to set a “wake up” time in room for blinds to open and lights to gradually come on.

I was expecting, looking forward to dining in Sherlock’s restaurant that was advertised as open daily but was not available (no doubt due to Covid). Also using the Chain app was a bit clunky for ordering food as no questions were able to be answered - chat was ineffective as it informed a 24-48 hr response. Room was nice but shower water ran hot/cold

Cleanliness, location and modern

Asking for any assistance was hard as everything is done with an app.

- Cool concept - no reception, everything can be controlled via the app - Rooms are clean, modern and thoughtful - Free water bottles! And Ahoi brause!

The hotel and rooms is new, clean and stylish. Controls via application were intuitive and without any problem. The room was quiet and comfortable.

I was happy and satisfied during my stay in this hotel. I have nothing negative to say. smart hotel exceeded my expectations. My initial apprehensions about controlling via the app were not justified.

The "smart" concept and design of the hotel. The room was very modern and extremely clean. The internet connection was amazing. 4 capsules of coffee and a package of chips were included, as well as two re-useable bottles which you can fill up with still/sparkling/chilled water on the hall way and take home with you.

There wasn't a single thing to complain about.

The hotel itself was fabulous in every way possible. However, read my dislike...

The entire hotel is controlled by an app. door locks to get in and out, payment, food and beverage ordering...etc. The app is called chayns. It is rubbish. Worst app I have ever had the misfortune to be subjected to. The hotel was fabulous, the app is utter garbage. I won't stay there again...
