Warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the house - well, of course partly caused by the property itself which is a charming assemble, but mainly due to the owner and her staff. Room was quite big with hot drink maker, small fridge, some snacks and beverages at hand at low prices. Water quality superb, shower system works well, everything very clean. Of course the old house does not feature aircon but the breakfast room had aircon - very pleasant, thank you. But the room came with a separate fan which was needed given the hot summer weather. Breakfast selection with decent variety, quality of food much better than average, coffee quality only mediocre though. Cold cut and cheese selection broad, smaller pieces which allows to taste different types easily - very thoughtful and demonstrating the focus on one’s comfort and wellbeing. Homemade jam is just great! Eggs will be made by order and are tasty.

Light in the bathroom is not really suitable for a man shaving every morning. Storage space in the room was quite limited but not an issue for a single traveller.

Large beautiful room. Wooden floors for hygiene. Minibar. Cozy with real plants in the room and breakfast room where a good, adequate breakfast was served in a classic dining room. Could also get eggs in different ways. Easy to park.

You can be a little disturbed by the traffic. Responsive. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed. Hard to find good restaurants open on Sunday and Monday

(1) Room: Very well-maintained, beautiful Biedermeier pieces, coffee machine, USB charging ports, international plug options including UK-plugs already available in the wall, minibar, modern, clean bathroom. (2) Bed: Stylishly chosen, with a mattress that was perfect for me. (3) Breakfast: Good selection, everything pleasantly and attractively arranged at the buffet, egg dishes are freshly prepared in the kitchen upon request.

This was a stunning hotel. We were a little worried on arrival as we thought it was closed....however we were greeted warmly after ringing bell at door. There was a court yard at front of building where we were able to park our motorcycles. The hotel was like a French Chateau. Very charming. Gorgeous room with a coffee/tea machine and also a well stocked mini-bar. We received a lovely breakfast served on beautiful china. An amazing one night stay. The restaurant was closed but we were directed to a small restaurant in the village which served a limited but nice meal.

The hotel is in a beautiful setting with a nice courtyard and lovely flowers to greet guests. The rooms were unique and comfortable (and also has nice plants). There is a coffee/tea maker in the room also. Many guests have mentioned to very good breakfast and I concur. The staff is friendly and the WiFi functions well. The hotel is in a nice area where there are plentiful hikes and wineries.

A veritable gem of a location, rooms have a feel of staying with your well off relatives. Memory foam bed, modern shower with excellent water pressure, old fashioned furniture. Got the top floor room as requested, total silence in the night. The owner is very friendly and welcoming, so my late arrival after hours in Stau was soon forgotten.

There are no restsurants nearby I know of, so come prepared. Like with a bottle of Chimay in tow ;)

Excellent breakfast, comfy bed, lovely room and friendly staff. We would love to come and stay again.

It was a shame the restaurant was shut while we were there, but luckily we were recommended another nice restaurant in the village. There was nothing about the hotel that I disliked, it was lovely.

The atmosphere was superb and the room was stylish. And so was the entire hotel. A lot of care has been taken to make the stay it this hotel very special. And a very friendly staff with clientfriendly attitude. Breakfast was also extraordinary. Our compliments: By far the best stay during our trip👍

The room was huge and amazing, the welcome on arrival was great, the breakfast was so very good, all in all a place to be recommended for a short or a long stay.

The breakfast was good and the room was very nice. We are in our 80's so the stairs were difficult and I would expect the hosts to help us out on this one. There is an excellent Greek restaurant within walking distance and the bonhomie of the host was welcoming

Stairs and balcony would have been nice.
