It’s not really a hotel. It’s a guesthouse. That’s not a criticism, it’s an observation but it does mean that some things you might expect in a hotel aren’t there. What it does have is loads of charm and character, attentive hosts, executional cleanliness and a relaxed, informal atmosphere.

It’s quite a long uphill walk from the station, although that’s the nature of Bad Harzburg. There are buses which run from the station.

The house is really beautiful and was built in 1899. The location is good ,close to town and restaurants nearby. Free parking. The hosts were very friendly and the breakfast buffet was good. The bedroom was great and the bed was comfortable.

Unfortunately we were on the 2nd floor with no lift which was challenging for 70+ couple.

Beautiful Art Nouveau hotel in peaceful surroundings. Easy walking distance to restaurants, cafes & shops. Very clean room with a spacious balcony overlooking the lovely gardens. We liked the complimentary water on arrival. Breakfast was served to the table, a nice selection of meats & cheeses plus the prettiest plate of hand cut mixed fruit. There were also tasty breads, cereals, spreads & a boiled egg on offer. Our host & staff were so friendly & helpful, it was very interesting to be shown the history of the house. Plenty off road parking.

Beautiful place. You feel like you are in a fairy tale. The style of the building matches the interior of the rooms. Clean and comfortable. The staff is unique - kind and helpful. The breakfast is rich and varied. Definitely a place worth staying.

The hotel is a privated owned traditional hotel just set back from the main streets of Bad Harzburg with good views and a lovely garden. The owner was friendly and meticulous in looking after us and the breakfast she provided was superb. We were also able to get good recommendations for eating out at night. There was good parking at the hotel and we enjoyed free bus travel for the duration of our stay which was very useful to enable us to visit the neighbouring town of Goslar. It was our first visit to the Harz area but we are sure we will be back.

The hotel was in a beautiful old building. Covid prevention measures were taken seriously. The buffet breakfast was one of the nicest I've had on holiday in Germany. I was especially pleased that the coffee pot was refilled several times!
