This is a smallish, old-fashioned (in the best sense of the word!) hotel, within walking-distance of both railway-station and Altstadt. The staff were (when they were present) very friendly and obliging. Our room was unusually spacious and certainly clean. Although we overlooked a courtyard we were not disturbed by noise. The price of the room was also very reasonable, and included an excellent breakfast-buffet served in very grand surroundings: a most magnificent, medieval-themed, banqueting room!

The hotel's reception is not manned throughout the day. One cannot arrive before 14.00 hours, and in the evening the desk is empty.

Great location just 7 minutes walk to the main Marktplatz, but just within the walls of the old town. Lovely host - Dominik was welcoming & friendly Room was clean & comfortable including TV, kettle, fridge & bathroom toiletries. Breakfast had a lovely choice of meats & cheeses, cereal, breads, fruit & yoghurt. Also, choice of eggs. There is a car park at the rear of the hotel. We were given a discount booklet on check in to use at various museums, shops, restaurants & activities in the area

Great atmospheric hotel slightly further out of the centre of Goslar, but a very good, enjoyable walking distance from any tourist destination. Very clean room with great lighting. The fridge and kettle were an unexpected bonus. Good breakfast, they didn't have still water available (I don't like sparkling) but everything else was tasty. If I'm back in Goslar at some point, I will definitely stay at the hotel again!

This is a classic cozy, friendly, independently-run hotel. The location inside the city walls was ideal. The host was friendly and helpful, and accommodated our request to stay an extra night. The included breakfast was smaller than what other properties might provide, but was plenty of variety for us. If you're looking for a sleek and modern hotel, this is not it- the crooked floors are a part of the charm of staying in a historic property. We stayed in a small 1-bedroom apartment with plenty of room for our family to relax and even prepare meals. There are grocery stores nearby, or plenty of restaurants in walking distance. The free parking was helpful!

The construction at the gate made it tricky to get in and out of the city, but this not the fault of the hotel, and in fact they advised us and provided a map prior to arrival.

Good, ,quiet situation. Easy walk into town centre. Pleasant staff. Very good breakfast. On- site parking. Honesty bar in lieu of normal bar. Comfortable beds. Character property.

No staff in-house overnight apparently. Nobodys fault but sad to see such a lovely old hostelry almost empty with breakfast, for about 8-10.people while we were there, in a large banqueting hall. We felt very sorry for landlord.

This was only very minor! The breakfast selection was a little limited compared to other places I have stayed but the employee made fresh eggs and rolls for me when I asked in a super fast manner. I would not deduct any „points“ for that though because I did not leave hungry.

The hotel is well located and very cozy. The staff is friendly and will help with any questions you may have. The breakfast was tasty and left no wishes. The cleanliness of the room and the possibility of parking are also highlights. Good value for your money.

Quaint, characterful hotel just 6-7 minutes walk into the main square. It's a little bit dated but was great for a 2 night stop.

Showers just too small for me. I have never liked that style, but I understand the why.
