The breakfast was great. The lady who staffs it was wonderful and very jovial in the morning. She ensured that we had anything we needed and was ready to help us with questions about what to do. To add to all, the welcoming attitude of all who worked there.

This little "secret" is a great place to spend your time in Goslar and the Harz Mountains. There is nothing bad to say about it. Everyone was helpful and friendly. We had an apartment and it was wonderful and so much space was there.

This place is right on the main square and what a square. It’s a wonderful approach down streets full of timber framed houses and access to the good outdoor but private parking is across the square which, on the motorbike, has got to get bragging rights. The room is huge and comfortable. Sparkling water and apples are welcome and the staff were super helpful. Breakfast was good and again the staff were lovely. Make sure you catch the clock at 9am (or 12 or 3) it’s something special

The parking is a tiny bit tricky on a big motorbike but nice and quiet and felt safe.

We were greeted by a friendly host on arrival. She checked us in and walked us to our room which was in a different building. Parking was private and secured by a gate. The room was very clean and well appointed. We received a card with deals in local tourism sites and restaurants and had a nice meal at one of their partner sites. Breakfast was delicious with many choices in the main hotel restaourant. Located in the center of town this is a fabulous location for those looking to visit Goslar and the Harz.

We were put in the apartment and not the hotel. It was about a block away and very nice and spacious. Shower had 2 shower heads. Breakfast was good and they made hot chocolate for me. Located right in the center of the Old Town. It had the best room lighting of all the places we stayed. The room was exceptionally bright, you could read without difficulty.

A little challenging to find with all the narrow streets, but GPS got us there

Apartment - Ground Floor - Annex. What an incredible apartment. Parking lot just about in front of the building, with 2 charging points for EV’s. The Apartment itself, is one of the best equipped apartments we have ever stayed in. Super clean and more than enough room. Large enough to even invite people over for dinner ;-). The people/staff were incredibly friendly. We will be most definitely coming back for another stay. Everything is within 500 meters, restaurants, café’s and bakeries where you can pick up fresh bread for breakfast

Nothing at all. Just that our stay of two days was not long enough. So we will just have to come back

Excellently appointed flat, lots of room, great views of town and beyond to hills. Flat had all facilities I could have needed, including washing and drying room. Goslar is a truly beautiful restored medieval town and cafes/shops are within a couple of minutes’ walk.

Great location at the middle of Goslar old town. You step out in to the Christmas market. The Christmas markets are open till 30-December, hence this turned out to be a great choice. Walking around the old town is seamless without any other dependencies. Plety of restaurants and shops nearby. The hotel staff was reaching out to me early enough to give proper guidelines to reach the parking area and to avoid the traffic restrictions due to the christmas market. Goslar is a must visit place in Germany and Hotel Shiefer is a great place for stay. The complimentary and minimal (not really) breakfast offered is much better than the standard breakfast offered by many hotels. We had dinner in the restaurant below which also turned out to be great.

Perfect location, walkable to everything. Charming Maisonette style rooms. Lovely breakfast (additional charge)

The first floor (sofa bed location) has lovely large windows which make it very bright at night due to the courtyard lights. Darker curtains would fix this!

Great property connected to restaurant group and apartment group. The hotel is just off the square but a few steps to it. Two story, ample space. Welcoming plate with Christmas chocolate and water. Also a wonderful breakfast with bread, meat/cheese and fruit individually packed for each room and placed in communal kitchen. Very friendly staff. Amazing location to access Christmas Market.

beds were a bit soft and low but not too bothersome.

the location was perfect. the room was huge and very clean

the only critique was that the main living area was a little stark. The only chair in the living room was not very comfortable and couch was pretty stiff. the floor needed an area rug or something to cozy it up. especially at this time of year when it is cold outside, the room needs to feel like a like a hug and not a hospital room.
