I cannot say good enough things about the Esplanade Resort. I came for the second time and had an outstanding and very restful time there for 8 nights. The Esplanade is located near a beautiful sea, allowing for wonderful walks and the visit of several restaurants nearby. It also has excellent state-of-the-art facilities and light-filled, friendly rooms. The breakfast options are fantastic, and so is the Spa. It has a warm, cozy ambiance and a variety of different saunas, as well as excellent services. But what makes the Esplanade genuinely remarkable compared to other four-star hotels is the exceptional service quality they offer. Although it is a relatively large house with many guests, the staff is very kind and accommodating and really goes out of their way when there is a need for help. Ms. Werner, the spa director, does an excellent and very proactive job of supporting guests with special interests in activities or treatments, and the whole team behind her seems happy and passionate about their work and very personable. The Esplanade creates a wonderful experience not just through its "hardware" in terms of buildings and rooms but also its "software" - its people, leading to an experience of ease, flow, and warm hospitality for the guests. I recommend it further 100%

Spa was fantastic! We did both the peeling and the eucalyptus experience and they were really great. Breakfast was also very good value for money with lots of options, an egg station and bubbles. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. Property is well located just off the waterfront.

It’s a shame that the cafe at the spa reception is the same menu as the restaurant because it was expensive and not the best quality. We only stayed two nights but our room was not refreshed. Our water got refilled but our beds were not made, we ran out of toilet paper and didn’t get fresh robes. Sounds picky but given you use the robes at the spa it’s pretty essential that they are clean and dry. We paid for a lake view room but it was on the second floor so lake view was partially obstructed by the restaurant roof.

The hotel and the amenities are really nice! The spa area is lovely and relaxing and we really enjoyed the heated outdoor pool. The breakfast was amazing and one of the best buffets we’ve ever had. The location is very nice too, right by the lake. Food in other restaurants was very good too.

I wish the staff told us more about the hotel during the Check in. We didn’t know we had to pay 10 Euro extra to stay in the spa after the checkout. While it’s not a big deal, we didn’t feel informed about anything (e.g. breakfast, spa opening times and times for free entry, restaurants etc) so we felt like the staff cold have spent a few minutes telling us about the amenities so that we could plan our stay better

- When you book via booking, they charge you extra 10 eur per person if you go to spa before / after check in, so all it all it’s the same as booking directly - I had headache and forgot my Ibuprofen at home but reception is not allowed to give it to you; I respect the policy but it still spoiled my evening a bit as I couldn’t sleep properly

Went there after a stressful month (December) for a night. It was perfect to unwind close to the city Berlin and get back fresh to work, the installations are great with different relaxing opportunities such as thermal waters, jacuzzi, swimming pool, sauna, and others. Its also in front of the lake which is great for night walks, went there on a friday and there was even a lakefront bar open with nice music and drinks going on. Breakfast was great with different options (even freshly pressed orange juice yummy and a coffee machine where we got capuccinos) and I must say everyone attending the breakfast was so professional and caring if we needed anything, i loved them! Receptionists and spa attendants did also go above and beyond with a friendly attitude which is sometimes uncommon in Germany haha, very lovely staff :)

The only but was that our shower leaked water underneath as there is nothing to stop the flow, so the toilet got flooded... strange design but i think it can be easily fixed to give a better experience, apart from that it was perfect! The drunk piano bar was also cool for a drunkie night hehe We also didn't have shampoo which was inconvenient :(

I had the most wonderful experience at this spa hotel! The outdoor pool is stunning, offering the perfect spot to relax and enjoy forest views. The spa area is spotless and so calming, making it easy to unwind. The rooms are cozy with super comfortable beds, and the breakfast is absolutely delicious—fresh, varied, and satisfying. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. Everything about this hotel was top-notch, and I can't wait to return! Highly recommended!

I have nothing to complain about

Comfortable cozy location on the lake; very good spa, outer and inner pools; helpful and kind staff; nice surroundings, although of course a bit sleepy in the evening.

Dining was an issue because at 8.30 the restaurants annexed to the hotel would bounce you because the kitchen was closed. The rest of town fid not offer much either. We solved the thing going a few km south to a place called the Dorsch which was open until 11 pm. So be advised, walk in early for dinner!

Overall, I had a great experience during my stay at your hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable, making my one-night stay quite enjoyable. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, which I appreciated after a long day of travel. Additionally, I found the breakfast provided to be good, with one small suggestion for improvement. I noticed that the person preparing the egg orders tended to overcook them at times. It might be helpful to remind them to avoid burning the eggs to enhance the overall dining experience.

However, I did encounter a disappointing experience during the checkout process. The receptionist seemed disinterested, as she ignored my requests for assistance and avoided making eye contact. Despite my inquiries about potential additional charges, she provided minimal information and seemed indifferent to my concerns. I believe clear communication and attentiveness in addressing customer queries are essential to ensure a positive guest experience.

Amazing!!! We were there by accident because our car broke down in Germany and we are from UK but the hotel was so beautiful the staff amazing the spa superb!!! Rooms so clean and comfortable that we are planning to stay there in around two weeks time. There is plenty of motor boats to rent without licence and home boats the climate is warm and pleasant. Lovely village around lovely German people. Highly recommend!!!!!

Perfect for a short break away from the everyday. We went here to unwind and escape, and we were able to do just that. Breakfast was amazing, spa and wellness area was great, clean and modern. The pools were great. Staff were truly amazing, always and helpful and kind. The cocktail bar the drunken piano was also great. We will return!

The only thing I would have to say is that both the Italian restaurant and the Pechhütte are not up to the same quality as the rest of the Hotel. The food is very expensive, and in my opinion the quality is not great. For example, I paid 32 EUR for a 200g steak, which was over cooked, and was served with potato wedges that were definitely not fresh, were frozen, and were the same type of potato wedge that one could expect from an imbiss or fast food place. I personally expect more from the food options, considering the rest of the hotel. However, the breakfast the hotel itself provided was exceptional.
