Spacious room! Easy to find, parking right outside the hotel, but can be a busy road at times. Very friendly staff. We went for a lovely walk to stretch our legs straight from the property. It had a lovely seating outside and play area for kids. The food at dinner was fantastic and the portions huge.

Sadly they were understaffed and things took a while. No English channels on TV. The biggest downfall for us was the breakfast. By the time we came down, which was about 8.30, there was barely anything left, the tables needed to be cleared from previous guests as the eating area isn't big at all, but the 1 person there was struggling to keep up. It was disappointing.

I was very impressed with this hotel. It is in the most beautiful location, surrounded by forests, and not too far away from the motorway. They have a great play area for children and even free roaming chickens. I booked this place as it was halfway, when travelling home from a holiday. But after staying here, I will next time allow for an extra night! The food is excellent, and the service provided by all members of staff was exemplary! This hotel is a hidden gem. I will definitely be back and for an extra night or two!

If you are looking for a quiet place, then this is the right location (very little traffic, right in the forest) and still close enough to the city of Bielefeld. Laura (hotel staff) was an excellent host. Breakfast was great. The hotel was clean. Comfortable bed.

Great location when you want to get away of the city. Perfect for a morning trekking, cycling and just enjoying the tranquil environment. Dinner in the hotel were in good class!

Very clean and big, modern rooms. Service very friendly and personable. We were offered dinner even though we were the only guests staying for food. The offering was perfectly cooked and great value for money. Breakfast buffet was very good quality again.

Parking upfront is free of charge. Lovely room, enough heating, very cosy duvet and great pillows. Had an excellent dinner buffet at a reasonable price €24 with great service. Had a small breakfast for €10. Nice so over.

Beautiful and well restored hotel in a beautiful setting. Nice playground for the kids. Good outdoor space. Well cleaned and nicely decorated rooms. Comfortable beds. We asked for an extra bed for our 5-year old and the staff was very kind to put us in a spacious room with a sofa bed. very good service and English speaking staff.

Was looking forward to eat in their recommended restaurant but when we arrived we were told that it has been closed for some months, dispute it was supposed to be open according to Booking.com and their own webpage. The breakfast could have a bit more variation but it was sufficient.

No kettle in the room we have to go to reception to ask for hot water to make bottle for our baby, they quickly provide it but it was more hustle. Breakfast very good but not much hot choice only scrambled eggs and boiled eggs that we could see.

Everything at this hotel is great, really, but two things stand out perhaps. The first is the location: the hotel is located in a very pretty building in German countryside, with a charming beer garden on the side, and a great lawn at the back, surrounded by a glorious view of the surrounding forests and hills. And the second is the staff's attitude: on our short stay we were made feel very welcome and cared for, frankly I don't think we've ever stayed anywhere where the staff genuinely cared that much for their guests.

I have no idea what could go better. Our communications at the restaurant, perhaps? We weren't really offered any choice, I'm not sure whether that's because it was late already, or because there isn't much of a menu. Given that we were brought a simple but glorious meal accompanied by cold beer after that, it was hardly a problem. I'll take that kind of lack of choice every day.

situation in woods near Bielefeld excellent. We enjoyed watching the chickens roaming around the large lawn at the back and a walk in the woods. Very quiet at night and a dawn chorus from the birds at daybreak.

They were a little overstretched because a wedding was having its party all afternoon.
