The hotel is very nice, beautiful outside and inside. Our room was small but there was more.than enough room for two. Mattresses are hard hard, which I found super confortable. Staff was very helpful and nice with us, they speak both German and English. Breakfast was great, all products served are fresh and delicious, and they cook the eggs on the moment, however you like them. They also have spa but we didn't use it as we were there only for one night. I am sure it is a great place to spend a couple of nights just enjoy the countryside, spa and nature, and just relax. Highly recommended, we will be back.

Breakfact was great and a huge range to choose from. Fruit choice was amazing. We turned up at 7.30pm and got a great welcome and all the information we needed, very efficient. Very clean and easy to find and park. And the location near the autobahn is ideal for us.

Only grumble was that we were pointed towards a german food restaurant - but at 8pm on a Monday the restaurant was only able to offer two very bland dishes because the kitchen was closed! Not really the hotel's fault and we wish we'd gone elsewhere for dinner.

We only stopped for one night on route back to UK but everything was perfect - clean room, comfy bed, friendly staff, good breakfast (sun was shining which helped!). Had a quick walk in the morning with our dog and seemed to be plenty of options directly from hotel.

Not the hotels fault but we arrived quite late and struggled to find an open restaurant locally - they close their kitchens at 8pm, which seems early, especially for a Friday night…

Easily accessed just off the motorway for an overnight stop on our journey from Italy. Very friendly welcome from Monika. Room good size with a fridge. Parking on-site is great & we could check on our car from the room window which also had views of the outdoor seating area & trees and hills beyond. Breakfast was plentiful with a great choice of cheeses, meats, cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt and pastries.

Lovely family run hotel in a quiet village location. Helpful and friendly staff. Rooms spotless with comfortable beds. We paid extra for a balcony which was really nice overlooking the immaculate gardens. Exceptional breakfast- probably one of the best I have come across in my European travels; so much choice and freshly cooked to order. Would stay here again

No restaurant on site in the evening, but the staff helped us find a place to eat locally.

There is only one room with sauna, this is not spa welness as described .. Please remove that you have massages in hotel. This woman doesn’t work for hotel but outside,has to be contactend by guest himself, which is not possible the same day at arrival of course..So it feels that Booking info is not correct

Our third time at the Landhotel and it never disappoints. Great location when travelling through Germany to Austria. Absolutely spotless accommodation - we were given an apartment in the annexe. Massive balcony, gorgeous bathroom with extra large shower. Free use of the sauna was a bonus. We also had a free pass to the open air lido in Bad Boll - lovely.

Great small hotel which served our purpose (traveling through) perfectly. Warm welcome, staff (owners) very friendly and engaged. Very clean, spacious room and bathroom, good mattresses and bedding and very quiet. One of the best breakfasts I’ve had during our 3 week trip. Fresh fruit, lots of it, and freshly made eggs any style, and lots more. Will definitely come back here!

We chose Landhotel Sonnenhalde for a one night stopover, driving from Salzburg en route to Calais. From the minute we arrived we were made to feel so welcome. Staff/owners are very friendly, eager to help and speak excellent English, which is always greatly appreciated when my German is embarrassingly poor. Our upgraded room (complimentary) was spacious and comfortable. The whole hotel is immaculately clean and quality of linen and towels is good. We ate in the bistro and enjoyed our evening meals very much. Breakfast was plentiful, with everything you could want to start your day, including meats, cheese, fresh fruits, Bircher muesli, yoghurt, breads, pastries, juices, freshly cooked eggs and bacon, etc. Parking is possible in bays directly outside hotel. We would highly recommend this hotel and will certainly return here, if visiting this area. It is the friendliest hotel we’ve stayed in on our two week road trip around France, Germany, Austria and Belgium.

Nothing to dislike. It is a lovely place to stay and we will happily return.

The breakfast really stood out as it was amazing. You had to provide a time that you wanted breakfast and whilst unusual, it meant that you were guaranteed a freshly cooked breakfast - fabulous! The location was good, not too far from the main road, in a residential area, and very quiet. They did not serve dinner and we went to a nearby hotel for that, which was adequate, although the beer was very good.
