It's a lovely independent and smallish hotel with very friendly staff. Due to low occupancy, nearly everyone got a small room upgrade and the breakfast buffet was absolutely exceptional (warm eggs, bacon, all types of cold cuts and cheese for your bread, big selection of bread and cereal, HUGE choice of tea (also loose tea and little pots), coffee obviously as well, juices and secco (!), and my personal highlight a DIY crepe Station. And on top a stellar view onto the water, No notes, amazing. The sauna was nice (not too fancy or big but doing it's job well) and they also have a small pool.

I do have to agree that some rooms have aged a little (mine included), but they were still very clean, functional and cozy. For me thats not really a minus.

Breakfast is served already from 6:30!!! This is unusual and I really do like to be able to go for breakfast early to use my holiday days to the full. Overall the breakfast is very good (very good tea! ) even though they really don't know how to make bacon. It is served mummified. Also coffee from the coffee machines tastes burnt. I liked it that they have fresh melons and pineapple at breakfast and grilled champignons as well as tiny cakes. This really gives you a holiday feel. The price for my single room (no 125) was very good.

There was no minibar in the room. I really missed a big hook for my towel on the bathroom door. I did not want to use the hook in the tiny space between the toilet and the shower where the towel would hang right above the trashcan/WC brush....At first I disinfected the wall and wanted to hang it there but I still found it disgusting. I also didn't want to put it on top of the toilet cover, so in the end I hung it on the main room door handle which I disinfected including the door. Still it was not ideal. They should put the kind of over-door hooks/hangers there or provide a portable hanger.

Ideal location right on the beach. Good breakfast. Holiday atmosphere.

There‘s a discount pass for many museums and businesses in town that you access via a phone app. I never used it and thought that it was free at the outset, but found out you have to pay for it when you check out. Sort of an unstated municipality tax.

Amazing pool/spa. The room was lovely with a nice view of the beach and the sea. The breakfast was delicious too. Had the best time here, and would recommend it to anyone visiting Borkum. They even provided a pair of binoculars in the room for watching the seals.

Wow, did this place surprise us! Big, modern room (newer building, room 22), could even peek thru window to see water. Everything clean and working. Game room! Amazing breakfast! Sauna! All super!

Do something about the crazy wind tunnel between the entrance and the beach? Just kidding. Not much to be done. It's pretty wild!

The hotel is just on from oh the sea with amazing view and you can see the seals from your window. The room is very clean and the breakfast has a lot of variety, very tasty.

Staff members don’t communicate in English very well. In the spa area only one sauna was working and the water in the swimming pool was very cold.

Staff was very friendly and supportive. Breakfast was excellent and always supplemented. Rooms and wellness area where clean. A very good hotel for a few relaxing days on this island.

The bathroom was outdated, retrostyle, however everything necessary was there. In the swimingpool area was no possibility to get fresh air in, no window or door to open, therefore it felt a bit claustrophobic.
