This is not a corporately-owned hotel, and you can tell. It simply felt more human and less business-orientated. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, the room was comfortable and spotlessly clean, and we had a highly enjoyable stay. Breakfast was very good, with a buffet of everything you might possibly want. The Germans are good at breakfast, and if you looked carefully, you could even find hot bacon, sausages and scrambled egg as well as fresh bread rolls, ham, cheese, salami and suchlike. There's also a good selection of teas, with a kettle to hand to make sure the water really is boiling. That's a huge step up on most hotels on the Continent. One to keep, I think.

Everything was up to scratch. The only thing is that the car park isn't the easiest to get into, but once you know that it's best to come in from behind the hotel rather than off the street in front, you've cracked it.

Big room, fine bed, clean and comfortable. Location in the middle of the town with own parking. Restaurants nearby The breakfast is excellent. There is a good choice of food of absolute quality.

Very friendly welcome, nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were good - everything you needed was there. Great location for Cloppenburg.

Good location in the city center, near shops, restaurants and city park. Very friendly lady at reception when I checked in (hotel owner I think). Clean and comfortable room, nice breakfast. Good price overall.

Only very small number of hotel parking places. Public parking nearby, but payment needed between 9.00 and 18.00. Single use plastic sachets with shampoo and soap instead of large bottle on the wall like many hotels have these days to reduce waste, Noise from traffic at the front of the hotel.

Breakfast was great although a bit expensive. Room was clean and shower was good all in all was perfect for our needs. Helpful friendly staff.

Room could perhaps been a little warmer

Nice friendly staff, even if little English - moved her car out of the car park so I could park in secure yard - beyond the call of duty! Interesting town with several restaurants but sadly NOT a single German one. That was a pity but not hotel's fault.

Small friendly hotel with nice up-dated rooms. Good brekfast with many options. Parking.

No place for suitcase. Small shower-cabin.
