Beautiful setup in a renovated hotel/rooms. Staff mostly speak only German but went the extra way to get us comfortable and join the local 5* dinner on Saturday nigth. The chef/manager does speak English so no issue with language, just fun trying to communicate in different language. Highly recommended, great breakfast and room super clean and bed very comfortable. It is in a small rural town (Lindern), a bit easier to bike from hotel then to hike but we managed to drive about 20 mins to find excellent hiking trails (close to Hummling and Wildeshauser Geest Natur parks).

Lovely environment, charming old building with fresh renivated and modernized rooms. The decoration is unique and very detailed in every part of the house. There is a restaurant on the ground floor with the same style and delicious food. The breakfast is also nice. Plus: it’s a dog friendly hotel.

I found the bathroom door a bit too transparent with the special glass pattern.

I don't often give a 10, but this place really is a 10 all around. Great and sweet personel, great bed, good breakfast, great place to eat dinner. I think you get it.

Absolutely 5 star quality building and fittings. Perfectly decorated to look from an earlier age. Ergonomics well thought out and fresh shower area. Situated in a well kept and pretty village. Toiletries and fizzy bottle of water nice touch.

On Mondays Restaurant is closed as is most of the village but there was a good “Schnell Imbiss” within 5 minutes walking distance. (note cash only)

Breakfast was from good quality. Very friendly ladys that served fresh boiled egg and made sure the guests are comfy..

Could not find wifi and I have overseen that the restaurant was closed. Since this place is quite remote you just have the chance to get a Döner at the next corner.

Very comfortable room and the host kindly checked us in on arrival- the restaurant was not open that evening but he offered chanterelle soup to go with our bought food.

Very well presented hotel - better than you might expect for the price.

Very nice bedroom decor and design, but bed was not as comfortable as other hotels.

This was a truly exceptional stay. We received a super-warm friendly welcome and our room was incredible. We spoke no German but the staff went out their way to help us understand everything and spoke good English. Very old charm with all the modern touches. A fabulous large balcony we could sit on and perfect view of the church. Spotlessly clean, super comfy beds. We ate in the restaurant and this too was outstanding both in decor and food. I am a real foodie and it was the best soup I had every eaten! It was asparagus season so we had the set menu which was great value for money and superb quality, we couldn't fault the meal it was exceptional. We were touring on motorbikes and did a last minute booking just 1hr before - and got a discounted rate! We found a rare gem and would whole-heartedly recommend this hotel and restaurant.
