Beautiful modern hotel, located in the thru fare of an idyllic Bavarian Town. I was warmly received by the lady at reception, and was quickly checked in. The room was more than ideal, spotless in every way, with an extremely modern and efficient bathroom, with a walk in shower. Breakfast was included in the rate, commenced at 0730am on the Sunday, and offered all you,could wish for as a German/European breakfast goes,… fresh bread, huge fresh chocolate croissants, fresh fruit, yoghurts etc etc and even a hot breakfast choice, served with speciality coffees. I couldn’t have wished for more in a hotel, in beautiful tucked away town.

Italian flair. Rooms are modern and super clean. The bed offered support - excellent quality. The restaurant was REAL Italian. Location was easy walking distance from the train station. Reception was accommodating and helpful.

Unfortunately I was there during a terrible heat wave and the lack of A.C. was regrettable. Fortunately the hotel provides a big fan in the room.

From a bike tourist: Easy to find. Great location at the river (low) end of the Altestadt: great not to finish your ride with a long uphill pull. Good bike storage and the staff know how to help you check in easily. Great newly refurbed room with flyscreens (the first seen in Germany). Breakfast great, and there are numerous restaurants nearby. Interesting old town is great for a twilight stroll and photos.

I think the hot water ran out in the morning. Not sure, but still warm enough to shower.

Excellent hotel with a perfect situation in Donauworth: Ten minutes walk from the railway station, centrally placed to explore and visit town sights, restaurants and bars. Still quiet at night, good for sleeping. I got a spacious room, the shower especially was of good size and excellent. With the space available, I would perhaps have expected an extra chair for comfortable sitting. The breakfast offers a big variety with lots of tasty choices, there are even tiramisu in glasses of you fancy a dessert for your breakfast. I also enjoyed a good pizza in the restaurant one evening, as the combined hotel and restaurant are run by an Italian family the whole experience is quite Italian. My time of arrival was maximum unfortunate. The hotel reception is closed from 11 - 14, and late at night. Usually this is no problem, as you can drop in by the cafe/restaurant. However, Wednesday is rest day at the Cafe. However, this was quickly fixed as I could call the telephone number posted on the door, and soon a family member was on the spot. I even got to check in to my room at an early time (around 12 o'clock). Another great service is the laundry in the basement, where guests can wash and dry their clothes. All in all, I would definitely recommend this hotel if you're thinking about visiting Donauworth and for exploring the surroundings (I visited both Harburg and Nordlingen while staying there, I would especially recommend the latter as a place worth a trip).

Location, clean comfortable room and bed. Great shower. Cool and quiet with the window open at night. No air conditioning but there is a fan in the room if needed. Fabulous breakfast - they are associated with the Italian restaurant next door- with 2 hot beverages offered and kind excellent staff at breakfast and reception. Garage to keep bikes safely locked.

We loved this hotel. The staff were lovely. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and a great location. Close to the train station and main town. It has been very warm weather and our room had a fan which was appreciated as many hotels do not have them. Breakfast was very good too.

If there was a kettle/cups to make a cup of coffee it would have been perfect.

Staff was very kind, hotel has perfect location with several restaurants around. Hotel room was nice with large bathroom.

Second day in the evening (19:30) the hotel was closed and our key cards did not work to open. Nobody was in the reception and the phone number on the door did not work as well. We found nice lady from nearby pizzeria who arranged help for us.

Checking in was easy and friendly. Restaurant was excellent (and very busy for a Monday evening!). Breakfast also very good.

I find the rooms and quite dark, maybe when you do refurbish you should consider light.

Very convenient for the railway station. In the middle of a long weekend festival, so great if you want to join in (we did). We called in before check in to leave luggage, and we were allowed early into our room. When we checked out at 11am we had half an hour to wait before our train, and the host made us coffees.

It was fine for us, but if you had wanted an early, quiet night, you would have been disappointed. We were not told about the festival by the hotel, so check datea before you book if you want quiet! As with all German hotels, no kettle in the room - we take this for granted in England now so surprised when it's not provided, and you have to pay €3-4 every time you want a cuppa.

One of the best hotel breakfasts I've seen! Small, but still a lot to choose from. Delicious cooked vegetables (different kinds!), loads of müesli, different breakfast buns, and also cakes, panna cotta and tiramisu! The room itself and bathroom is ok :) Small fridge for drinks. Nice staff. No problem to check in after the reception is closed - I arrived at 22:00, and could still check in, with help from the restaurant :D Good location next to a small city quare.

Very firm bed. Still slept well though! Dry cakes at breakfast.
