We had an absolutely fantastic time during our stay. The central location was perfect, allowing us to easily walk to all the main attractions. Our room was very comfortable, and we were especially impressed by the spacious and secure bike storage, which was a huge bonus for us. The staff were all so friendly and kind, and the breakfast was delicious. It was the perfect way to start our days of exploring. We truly felt welcome and would highly recommend this hotel to any couple visiting the city.

We are a couple who travel frequently. I have never seen a better hotel that is so helpful and strives to please its guests. The rooms were very clean, large and comfortable. He helped us and received all our cargo before we arrived. They tried to help with anything you needed. breakfast was very good. On the last day, they prepared packages for all of us in case we couldn't have breakfast because our flight was very early. If you are in Harburg or nearby, stay here without hesitation.

We have stayed here a number of times. All rooms are modern and clean. Sometimes the bathroom is larger or smaller, ditto the bedrooms. This time the bedroom was a little small, but still comfortable. The hotel's restaurant serves food which is very much to my taste and the beer is excellent.

Parking is limited, but we have always been lucky. There are plenty of other options nearby.

The location is just amazing - a typical Bavarian village, quiet and calm, beautiful landscape with rivers and hills. Loved it! The hotel has several buildings, we stayed in the one across the restaurant. The rooms are spacious and cute, and the staff is very welcoming. The food in the restaurant is good too. Overall, great value for money. Genuinely recommend visiting this place on your way to/from Munich.

The beds are a bit squeaky. Also no air con, so it might be hot in the summer, especially in the rooms on the top floor. Would be great to add a shampoo to the bath accessories - the hotel only provides liquid soap, and it was a bummer as we didn't have any with us. And please keep in mind that the navigation might lead you through a narrowest sloping street instead of an ordinary road - it was really dangerous to go down there by car, as it was too late for us to drive back.

The Hotel Restaurant Staussen is a hidden gem. Exceptional value for money. We stayed for one night and also reserved a table for our evening meal in the restaurant too. Our room was immaculately clean and so comfortable. We enjoyed our meal in the very busy and popular restaurant. I’d recommend reserving your table. Breakfast was a buffet - help yourself to breads, cheeses, ham, delicious yoghurts, fruit, eggs, juices, tea, coffee. perfect to start our day. A perfect, good value, overnight stop, if touring the romantic road.

We loved the property and the chiming church bells. We would happily return. Look beyond the decor. Our bathroom was dated but seriously spotless. Car parking is limited to about 4 or 5 spaces. There were no spaces when we arrived in early evening. We could have left the car on the street until 8am but we decided to move the car to the nearby local car park and paid a couple of Euro to give us until 11am. It is a fairly short, up hill, walk back to the car. Take some bottled water with you. There are no drink facilities in the room and I was charged for tap water.

Staff very friendly; location of hotel was within walking distance of everything that we wanted to see in the old town Straussen! The dinner in the restaurant was one of the best that we have tasted while on our trip in Germany!

We upgraded our room which came with air conditioning which is really appreciated on hot days. The staff was very friendly, The restaurant food was of excellent quality and there was a good choice at breakfast.

Nothing really. If I'm very picky it would be the limited parking available at the hotel but there is an excellent public parking area 3 walking minutes away which is free overnight and you can get a day ticket for €4.

Seemed very new. Big bed, fabulous bathroom. Great breakfast. We had dinner there too and it was also excellent. Cute little town and you’re right in the middle.

We were lucky to get a park right outside but if you didn’t, it would be a pain. Bit of a hike to the room

The building was very pretty and typical. The room was a good size and had everything that was needed. Everything was very clean. The dinner we had in the restaurant was lovely.

The pillows were uncomfortable.

Lovely modern room in this ancient inn (with AC which was an absolute life saver), easy check in too, despite being closed on a Monday. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious and we very much enjoyed our stay.
