Fantastic countryside hotel. Charming, friendly and helpful staff. The whole complex is built from quality materials in an understated rustic-luxury style with wonderful atmosphere. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a luxurious bathroom. The restaurant is great with a very good local and European wine list. We were served a delicious vegan dinner from the varied and creative nenu. Secure parking right outside. Very dog friendly place. Absolutely top marks and very good value for money. We will be sure to stay here again if we're passing through and we can't recommend this place enough.

Really nice old German country hotel but with an up to date modern feel. For Germany a really good breakfast with a good selection of food. Dinner was also really nice with plenty of options for vegans/vegetarians. There’s an EV charger across the road which was very handy and it’s all very close to the motorway.

As always in Germany the rooms aren’t the most cozy and the beds are a bit too hard. But in our experience that’s the case in basically every German hotel. Apart from that this hotel is one of the very best we’ve stayed in in Germany

This hotel is OMG beautiful, has an amazing restaurant, was spotlessly clean, and is set amidst a gorgeous forest park not far from Oldenburg. The staff were fantastic, and breakfast was also fantastic. I highly recommend staying here!

The only thing I didn’t like had nothing to do with the property, but with the people upstairs who spend the entire night throwing up. Other than that it was amazing, and I’ll stay here again the next chance I get.

We have stayed a number of times at the hotel. It is well placed for our journeys between the UK and Denmark. We take our dog with us and he enjoys the woodland walks around the hotel. The restaurant is excellent and we always look forward to dinner there. The rooms are large and well-equipped and have exceptionally comfortable beds.

Excellent meals, tasty and beautiful for the eye. Very friendly and efficient staff. A very stylish hotel in beautiful peaceful surroundings. Comfortable cosy room with very good bed and pillows, with beautiful terras with a nice view to the hotels own gardens and surrounding wood. Coffee, tea and water in the room. Close to the highway but still a very quiet location. Very pet friendly.

The breakfast was excellent, great choice and delicious. The property and the surrounding grounds were magnificent, so beautiful. We traveled with the dog, he had a great time running around, he was also greeted by the staff just like another person.. Amazing.. Very good value for money. We will definitely make another trip to have a holiday at the hotel. Can't recommend this hotel enough. Absolutely gorgeous. 😊

There is nothing to improve on 😊

We loved the entire facilities, they have a perfect size and are beautifully decorated. Breakfast was very good, as was dinner at the restaurant, staff were also very professional, attentive and friendly.

We found the bed a little uncomfortable, but do not know if there are different categories of beds, and didn't think to ask at reception whether they might have a different topper. (This would not prevent us from returning in the future!)

Great location, close to the motorway but not noisy. We had two bedrooms (travelling with teenagers and a dog). Evening meal was great. Beds very comfy and large. Had a great nights sleep. Breakfast lots of choice and all fresh.

Our room was in a separate building that looked a little old-fashioned on entry, but the room itself was delightful and the shower hot, with good pressure. Superb breakfast buffet and very nice evening meal. Very clean, staff very friendly and courteous. We felt it represented very good value for money. This hotel has been run by the same family for 130 years, they've clearly worked through all the bugs many times over!

Nothing in particular, but a bit confusing to find reception and where to park. Although there's lots of parking. Could have been 4 pillows for each person, and one not as soft as what is there at present.
