The location was perfect, lovely to find the Balkan restaurant up the road. Also lovely to find such peaceful places behind the hotel car park. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, we even had an interesting talk with the man doing the garden. We were sorry to find that the church was shut, as we would have liked to look inside. We would love to come back and sing in that church one day!

I didn't like having to leave!

We were in the main hotel, and the room was as hotel rooms ought to be and used to be: spacious, comfortable, with plenty of room to store possessions and a good bathroom. The bed was particularly impressive, large enough for a man just under two metres tall to be happy in. If we'd slept with the windows closed we would not have been woken early, but the night was hot and the breeze was welcome. Breakfast was as good as always, with hot chocolate provided when I asked for it.

We didn't know that there was no evening food on a Wednesday, because we stupidly didn't check on the way out for our holiday the previous week; a pity, because I had been looking forward to the splendid food at this hotel, but we were told of other places to eat within easy walking distance

Restaurant was not open, that was the reason we had chosen this property as we were arriving late. Hotel could have informed us of that in the confirmation.

The bed was extremely comfortable and I slept very well. The breakfast, as always, was excellent, with hot chocolate on request and plenty of beautiful fresh rolls to eat with ham or cheese on them.

Alas, we had not realised there would be a barbecue at the hotel on this evening, so we couldn't eat from the hotel's usual menu out in the garden, but had to eat indoors on a fine evening; but that was our fault for not noticing, not theirs for having a barbecue.

We were on the way home late and needed a pit stop around Bremen. The hotel is located 15 minutes from the highway. I selected this hotel due to EV charging. Unfortunately the three plugs are all Tesla plugs but there is a public charger just around the corner which could handle my Volvo. It is a nice old but well maintained hotel. Not fancy but just what you need. Full value for the money. The check in ended at 2130 but we called the owner in the afternoon and said we would be late. He just answered they we should call when we arrived at around 2200.

The staff took in my dirty washing after I had cycled all day and washed, dried and ironed it in time for my next day ride That was much more than I expected

I didn't find a good restaurant in the town.

On Sunday there is no English speaking person to check in. We had to ask someone to call the mobile number listed there for instructions
