Staying here has been one of our favourite holidays. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and everyone (including other, mostly German, guests) have made us feel very welcome with our 11week old baby. When he occasionally cried / winged at dinner, people would say “don’t worry, it’s just a special kind of music for us” <3 , made a week long stay with a young baby so much less stressful, it was truly wonderful. The full board is a great value for money, great breakfast with lots of fresh bread and pastries, freshly squeezed orange juice, plenty of options for tea and coffee, lots of fresh fruit and hot cooked options as well. It also has a chef station where you can oder custom omelettes as well as pancakes! Lunch is a similar set up i.e. buffet and salad bar, and everyday there are different options which keeps it interesting if you’re staying for a longer period of time. For dinner, you have a delicious 5 course meal with your choice of main. The Spa facilities are very zen and relaxing, done up to a very high standard. Both the indoor and outdoor pools are heated to 30 degrees with plenty of sun beds in the garden as well as inside. There are 4 different saunas, ice tray and scented showers, plenty of relaxing rooms including a Himalayan salt room and heated hung beds. You also get a free scrub and aloe vera cream to use. The Spa also has chilled water and apple juice on tap and a tea / coffee station. Treatments were lively and relaxing at a very reasonable rates. The bedroom was very spacious, with very comfortable bed and overall a fantastic layout and design of the room! The location is absolutely stunning, right in the middle of the Bavarian Forest, with hiking trails a short walk from the hotel. There are plenty of things to do, including a free zoo at Lusen, which is only a short drive away. A wonderful place for an active or relaxing (or both!) holiday. Overall, we had an absolutely fantastic time and can’t wait to come back!

Everything was absolutely perfect! The only minor point to make is that the hotel does not have air-conditioning (which we knew) as the area is cool during the majority of the year. We visited in late September with maximum daily temperatures of around 20 degrees , however our room was still 26-27 degrees during the night with all heating turned off. The reception was very helpful and give us a fan from their office, which has resolved the issue. Due to having a small baby in a cot by the balcony doors, we didn’t want to have the doors wide open, otherwise that would very likely resolve the issue. Just something to keep in mind if you’re traveling with a baby in the summer months - they wake up a lot more to feed during the night if the room is hot.

The comfort in the rooms, delicious food and all-you-need spa area … but what stayed the most with me is : First time ever in a hotel that i have seen the pictures of the team presented in a very visible place with their names and some info about themselves. It shows the value the management gives to their employees and treating them as part of the family. You also feel that with every exchange you have with any of the employees.

In general very nice and cosy hotel.

The disappointment was with the SPA working hours. We arrived after work at 19.00 and the SPA was already closing; however, the next day, to go to the SPA we would have to pay 21 EUR extra per person, which was disappointing. Still, the team tried to support us and granted us a free drink at the bar, which was nice.

Rooms tend to get quite warm; hard to cool down. Rooms directly face terrace (bar/breakfast).

Excellent location in a small quaint town. Very quiet and beautiful grounds . Great service. Delicious food. Close to beautiful natural trails. Parking on the premiss. Highly recommended for a relaxing stay wether for one or more days.

The property was very stylish. The room was beautiful and included a sauna. The pools were clean and with good opening hours.

There was no shampoo or conditioner in the room and the fire alarm went off at around 10 at night. Not the properties fault but disturbing.

Hotel stuff are great ! Super friendly and helpful. The spa and the pool are excellent. Breakfast and dinner great . Hotels looks great

The lunch meal is not that good

A wellness program could enhance the experience (yoga, aquagym, meditation, etc.)

The food is top, definitely fine dining level, yet it's very healthy. Everything is perfect!
