This is a really lovely hotel, with a nice atmosphere, very well-appointed rooms and an excellent breakfast offer. The room was very well thought out and like that the bathroom had an outer window. Lovely restaurant too and excellent choice of local wines, which is just what we wanted.

The room was freshly renovated and featured air-conditioning!!!! Big plus in German hotels. The hotel features a restaurant with typically German cuisine and a decent selection of local wines at affordable rates. Breakfast was nice and gluten free bread was available upon pre-order.

THe hotel is undergoing thorough renovation during 2022, and that shows in the corridors and stairways. Also the restaurant and outside seating are more of the "traditional" German style, read:old-fashioned without being vintage or retro. Hopefulley they'll do something about that too. A separate wine bar would have been aprreciated as well.

- The room had been newly and nicely renovated, but … - Dinner was very good, but …

- No information either on booking.com or on the hotel‘s own website that the hotel was mainly a building site, including scaffolding outside the back entrance to our room. - Our room and its corridor had been newly renovated, but the stairs and other floors were still being worked on, meaning dust and covers everywhere. This meant huge restrictions within the entire hotel, with whole sections not accessible (so ignore most of the photos on booking.com!) - Building noise started at 9 a.m. one day and at 7.15 a.m the next day. - The dinner menu was reduced to 1 soup type, 3 main course options and 1 dessert; only two bottled beers and wine to drink, though no rosé wine option (and this in a wine region!). - Breakfast was only adequate, certainly not „fabulous“ as claimed on booking.com! - No attempt by the management to make up for the mess they had put us in, e.g. no reduction in room rate or dinner price, no free drink or free dessert offered, etc. The management preferred to complain about how the hotel was still a building site!
