the location is splendid within the old part of the town close to market square. We stay there several times a year, so it is always a good choice for a weekend stay-over. When we arrived, we were actully given a room that was already occupied (!) so when we came into the room, there were belongings from others. Somehow, the booking was mixed up but we received an upgrade larger room in the end :-)

The rooms facing the outer national road B5 (?) become very noisy from the eraly mornings with windows open as the traffic hits in from the Oldenwald area. It is one of the main regional access roads. Also, since the owners have changed, the breakfast buffet is now a luxury treat with about 20EUR per person, so we usually refrain from having breakfast there...too expensive!

The location is very good! The back door of the hotel is the town of Heppenheim, and there is an underground parking lot for self-driving.

The luxury room was reserved, and I communicated with the hotel in advance to request a bathroom room. The answer was that it would depend on the situation when checking in. When checking in, I asked again if there was a bathtub, and the front desk answered yes. However, when I arrived at the room, it was still a shower, probably mistaking the bathtub for a bathroom. Speechless! The breakfast scene was very chaotic, and even searched several rooms for a long time before reluctantly finding an uncleaned table.

we keep coming back and staying there a few times a year...Heppenheim is like a time capsule plunging into a lovely medieval village around the market square and the Bergstrasse. The Achat Hotel used to be Michels, and management changed a year or so ago. What we really liked is that all the staff seemed to have been rolled over. They are super friendly, the rooms are nice, clean and good quality and the brekfast buffet is always a treat!

There is hardly anything one would not like here, however, it also strongly depends on the rooms you have...the rooms favoring the CITY side are quieter as on the other side runs the B3 major road that wakes up early in the morning for all commuters into the area. Also, some rooms, in particular the second floor, have a bathroom under the roof with inclining ceiling, so in some of them, one cannot stand...also, the bathrooms are not barrier-free at all, one needs to climb into the tubs...a partial renovation would be advised here in due time.

Hotel was spotlessly clean. Staff were very friendly and polite and there was a good variety of food on the breakfast buffet. The location was great, inbetween the old market square and the town centre. It has an underground car park but our minibus was too tall to go down there but there was plenty of on street parking. Overall we were very pleased and look forward to booking there again next time we go to Heppenheim.

This is a great hotel just off the autobahn in a delightful quaint German town. The old centre has some really nice buildings with lots of character and history. I have stayed before on my way home from Italy and Austria but this tome stayed on the way down. The underground carpark is secure for the motorbikes so it makes a great place to stop over on way to southern Europe.

No complaints. Shower is great air con worked well and bed was very comfortable.

I regularly stay at this hotel several times a year when having business in the area. It used to belong to the Michel group and has a friendly touch with good location (few minutes to the old picturesque main market square) and fantastic breakfast buffet. Rooms are spacious and clean.

One side faces the main road and there is heaps of work traffic in the morning but with windows closed (which fits in autumn/winter times) there is not much noise around. Apart from this, all good.

I know the place very well from its time as "Miche Hotel", staying there every few months. The place is very central with one side facing the Bundesstrasse (thus, a bit more noisy, like this time) and the other side facing the old city nucleus (very quiet). Everything is within 5-10 min of walking distance, 10 min to train station. Short stroll to the central market square with the beautiful old Fachwerk-buildings and good restaurants and bars. The breakfast buffet is totally awesome, very rich and diverse and always included in the overnight price...great bargain! totally worth it. Always love coming back here.

would be good to have a mini-bar fridge in the rooms, I think they removed all those some time back, leaving an under-the-counter gap.

When we eventually found hotel it is central to heppenheim. 10 min walk from train station. Breakfast fine. Room ok and clean with slippers and gowns.

Hotel a different name to Achat hotel which we booked walked round in circles looking for the hotel. MH on front of building smallest size Achat on wall. No daily housekeeping had to ask at reception for extra toilet rolls towels etc, sheets not change in 4 days despite 30 degree heat. Rubbish left in bins for duration of stay.

The hotel is located in the heart of the town. You literally walked outside the hotel and you are in the picturesque old town of Heppenheim.

Unfortunately the mattresses are too firm for me, which caused pain in my legs, neck and shoulders. Smoke from the designated smoking areas travels inside the hotel and rests at the reception area.

Our room was next to a busy road (not the old town)., so we couldn't open the windows without letting in a lot of noise. The other side of the hotel is quieter -- probably a bit more expensive. As compensation, though, we got a view of hillside vinyards.
