The Hotel zur Post is run by a couple who have managed top hotels around the world and it shows. The location is very conveniently a few kilometres from the autobahn. The bedrooms are modern, clean, quite and air conditioned. Service is friendly and efficient. Food in the restaurant and at breakfast were both excellent. Overall the standard is well above that which would be expected in a typical hotel in a small town in Germany.

We found the price high considering the room size and for being in small town like Riesenbeck, which is very cute, but also remote.

I loved everything about our stay. The service was excellent.. the restaurant dishes were very well prepared at a reasonable price. Goed wine and ambiance. Cleean fresh rooms you should expect when travelling and staying in Germany..4 star quality, small and quiet close to the forrest, castles nesteled in a small village.

Only the location

I visited this hotel twice in the past and was very happy. This time I am very disappointed due to several reasons: 1. The toilet were very dirty. 2. The air condition was very weak and I could hardly stay at the room and sleep. 3. The curtains didn't block the outside light properly and this was additional reason for hardly sleeping. 4. I went down for breakfast at 09:30 and there was no breakfast although you wrote me that breakfast is until 10:00.
