I wasn’t sure what to expect with this accommodation but must say it was really very lovely. If you are in the area and need a place to stay this is a great option just outside of the town centre. We arrived slightly later than planned and were greeted by a friendly guy who quickly got our room sorted and kindly helped us store our 2x bicycles. The room itself was above the spa and it was huge - a corridor with large bathroom on the side, leading to a kitchen and well furnished bedroom. The bed was comfortable and the whole place was nice and clean. The shower was excellent and the stay felt very easy going and calm. Idar-Oberstein is an interesting place, clearly with a lot of history. Strongly recommend Alte Kanzlei for an evening meal if you are looking for a nice experience and great beer to compliment your stay - it’s only a 25 min walk away.

Very comfortable bed, spacious room with kitchenette and coffee provided. Everything clean! No personal contact with owners but smooth check-in.
