Everything was amazing, the accommodations are the best part, I stayed on a small room in the shape of a wood barrel, the bed was couple length with double single mattress, there is a small entrance before the bed, and can sit four persons two each side, a table come from under the bed and it's foldable, there is a small door under the table, I used to store my bags, there is two electricity plugs, and the most important, the view, the place is amazing, the bathroom is 40 meters away, there is place to play basketball, football, some things for kids, a beautiful natural lake right in front of the barrels, I would live there with my eyes closed.

They close for winter.

This hotel/campground was located in a verdant shaded area along the Aller River. The bountiful floral glory of May in the garden could be enjoyed from the restaurant windows or balcony. Further away, there were paths for hiking or biking, as well as a possibility for canoe rental. The rooms had good light-blocking curtains and were quiet, making for excellent sleeping conditions.

The mattresses could be a bit too hard and the pillows a bit too soft (low) for some. Arriving after 11 p.m., the roadway was pitch black and it was hard to navigate the unknown grounds. Herr Weber was a wonderful host, greatly helping us settle in. Everything else was perfect!

A nice, charming family Hotel surrounded by a beautiful landscape, great place to stay if you like nature and walks. Very friendly owners, rooms were clean, breakfast was good, what more do you want.

Very nice hostel. Staff were very helpful and polite (they made us dinner late on a Sunday evening!). Breakfast was relatively simple, but included in the price of the room. The room was very spacious.

The hotel is small but comfortable. It is so nice to wake up with bird singing. The rooms are equipped with all necessary. The breakfast is perfect. The host is very kind and attentive.

A cosy hotel. Friendly owner. Clean and warm rooms. Picturesque landscape. Delicious cuisine.

The Barrel-house was nice, and although the little house was very simple, it was comfortable enough. On a quiet part of the grounds.

Was lacking some comfort such as hook to hang a coat, a shelf, pillows and the lightswitch was at my feet at night, so i turned the light on by accident a couple of times. Also the shower is not only shared, but also open/public (men/women sepparated). The sanitary building is quite old, could use a sweep to clear the spiders and moths. At check-in and check-out it was hard to find someone. Also on sundays, they are "closed". Couldn't reach anyone via message on Booking.com and also not by phone.

In particular, great and polite service. I got dinner even though the kitchen was already closed. Great value for money.

I slept in a barrel. The only problem was the lack of bedding. You need to know to bring a sleeping bag and maybe a pillow. There is no WiFi in the place where the barrel is.
