Good value for money especially as you get a private room with ensure incl towels and shampoo. Location is good and there is free street parking (I booked because of the parking but did not understand how to access parking so did not use it in the end but I thought it was free and did not realize it closed after 22h). I did not pre pay for breakfast but I did eat where the hotel recommended and it was good and reasonably priced. Really liked Leipzig city centre too.

The building is older and so whilst they have tried (successfully) to jazz it up it still looks tired in hallway and carpet. But for price and value this is just an observation. I struggled with check in (mainly opening room door) but was pleased in the end not to have to deal with anyone as I booked late (21h) and last minute arriving after 23h and so once I worked how the check in worked, it was straight forward.

You can check in as late as you want to as everything is done online and with digital keys, which is perfect if you are not sure about your arrival time. We got a very clean and reasonably comfortable room with a huge balcony. The hotel is located in a quiet and, by the looks of it, interesting neighbourhood, easily accessible from autobahn. Breakfast, including coffee and very tasty bread with ham and spreads, for which you pay additional 7 euro, is served in the next door bakery. There is a garage in connection to the hotel, where the fee is 2 euro per hour or 20 euro for a day. Good to know is that if you arrive after ten in the evening, you can’t enter the garage as it is closed (you can exit at any time of the day). Then you have the option of parking on the street which worked well for us.

Would be good with clearer info regarding parking and the flexibility before booking.

Excellent experience! Clean, comfortable, and with touches of Leipzig history in the decoration. You will learn useful informations! Easy self check in. Very good location. There is an Edeka supermarket very close to you and many places to eat, bakery and cafe to the whole neighborhood. There is a tram right in front (to go to the city center, you will take tram line 3 from across the street). I highly recommend it! When I come back to Leipzig definitely I will choose this Hotel again!

If the rooms get a mini-fridge then it would be worth a 10' rating.

The hotel is conveniently located, easy to reach with public transport. Due to the self-check-in you can check in at any time, after receiving the passcode. The passcode system works well, when you follow the clear instructions. I suggest you check in online beforehand, so that the passcode is sent to you before your arrival. The room was comfortable and clean.

The only downside is that the rooms are not very soundproof. You could not only hear the showers of the adjoining rooms but actually the entire conversation of the people in the neighboring rooms. Moreover, due to the key code system the doors close incredibly slowly but that was not much of a nuisance.

This is now the second time that we have stayed at McDreams Leipzig. For us the location is excellent - no. 3 tram is right out the front. Tonnes of bakeries and grocery shops in the area. We didn't use the covered carparking instead we found street parking which is plentiful. Previously we had a 'two bedroom' room so we could be all together as a family. This time around we had two separate rooms (not as convenient - but we knew this was the only option) at least they were right next door to one another. Beds were fine. Loved the mural on the wall - could read interesting facts about Leipzig.

Our code stopped working on one of the bedrooms at 10.26am - even though we could stay through till 11am. Luckily we had already packed everything up and had cleared out of the room.

Everything was perfect. The location is pretty close to the center, especially by tram or bus. The room was really good. The check-in and check-out were seamless. And the help we got through whatsapp (we explained that we made 2 bookings for 2 different rooms and were asking if we could stay in the same room) was prompt and very appreciated. So I definitely recommend this Hotel!

A few tram stations away from the main railway station, quiet area (except some construction works early morning), clean and nice room, spacious bathroom. The room is well heated, has TV and towels are provided. The check-in process is incredibly efficient. Very good value for money.

No fridge. I didn't really miss it this time because it was cold outside, but for the summer it would be a nice addition.

Clean spacious room on a good location. The neighborhood is charming and well connected to the center, with many options of restaurants and cafes around the hotel.

Self-checkin can be a bit tricky, although it finally worked. The whole experience was too impersonal, as there is no staff/reception at the hotel and WhatsApp messages were automated.

There was no staff and instructions for accessing when main door was closed were not clear enough. One night we stand there 5 people trying to figure out how to access our corridor

McDreams offers fair value for money. Rooms are spacious and decently furnished. The rooms with the view to the inner court yard are nice. Also, the digital key worked fine.

I would feel safer if the door to the floors were actually locked and not just open. Another minor thing was that there is no heating in the bathroom and that the fan kept running all night.
