Interesting hotel placed in a rural area of the city next to the church. Lovely personal (grazie mille), rich breakfast, good position of the hotel and also a good price for the stay. Everything was smooth, nice and friendly. Good to know about the church - the bell stops ringing between 10 PM and 8 AM, which means you can sleep without interruptions. Nice restaurant are nearby (Keiserbad and Bamboo true Vietnamese) and since the hotel is directly next to the canal, you can enjoy nice romantic walk around the canal. Would recommend.

Room tiny but sufficient

We were on a cycling tour through Germany. Leipzig is a lovely city and many things to do. Breakfast was great, good cappuccino. Lovely room, excellent beds. Lady of the staff made the effort to book a last-minute appointment for me at her hairdresser. That was very much appreciated. Thai 'restaurant' nearby with fantastic food (closes at 19.00).

Very nice hotel, with spacious, comfortable rooms, in very good conditions; nice location, in a lively area, but also quiet at night; not in the centre, but well connected by public transport (and a nice walk if time and weather allow it); very nice and helpful staff

The fact that the reception is only open 7 am to 7 pm; however, the staff will always find a way to accommodate for different needs, so it does not constitute much of an issue

The room was large and clean, and overall was beyond expectations. The breakfast was superb. Staff were friendly and kind. The hotel is about 7 tram stops away from the city center, and the ride takes about 12 minutes, and the nearest tram stop is about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Overall, we had a very nice stay at Philippus Inklusionshotel. Would definitely stay here next time in Leipzig.

We were very surprised and delighted by our stay here. The hotel is part of a beautiful church. The staff was outstanding, friendly and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. The breakfast was superb. Our room was huge compared to most other European hotels. We loved talking with the staff and the guests. We highly recommend this hotel to stay at and if ever we are in Leipzig, we will definitely stay here.

There was absolutely nothing we didn't like

Everything, excellent spacious room, incredibly varied high quality breakfast, friendly staff, great architectural design, the area around the hotel was really interesting and the ethos of the business.

We were sad to leave.

Location on canal close to restaurants. Quiet with its own beer garden you could relax under trees. Well modified rooms for a hotel. Good size room and bathroom, fan provided. Staff were helpful and had available tram tickets that assisted getting into town. Breakfast yum.

We've been to Leipzig many times, but never to this part of the city. It's a fairly quick tram ride to the main train station. The hotel rooms are lovely and quite large. The staff are all extremely friendly and helpful. It's spacious yet cozy place. As we were there on a holiday (everything, and I mean everything, was closed!) we enjoyed the honor pantry with snacks and cold drinks for our room. The breakfast was especially sumptuous, with a tray of vegan offerings to go with the brotchen warm from their oven. If you are in town for a concert at the Philippus Church (as we were) you should DEFINITELY stay here!

Very nice stay. The staff was exceptionally helpful and helped orient us upon our arrival to the Leipzig public transport system. On-site parking availability was a plus. Very good breakfast.

The staff were excellent, helpful and friendly. Breakfast offered a great choice and was high quality. Location is great, quiet, direct on canal and close to public transport. Rooms modern and well equiped.

I was in a room in the roof with window blinds which did not make the room completely dark as night, which I would have preferred.
