It is conveniently located in downtown Limburg at the limit of the old city (you just have to cross the road), and only 5 minutes walk from Limburg local train station. Rooms are simple but clean: all you need for a good night sleep, at a reasonable price.

Tafelspitz is not a hotel but a restaurant with a few rooms on the upper floor. While I would highly recommend it for tourists, I think it is less convenient for business travelers who are in a rush because: - No reception: check-in is at the restaurant cashier, with limited hours, difficult to get the company name printed on the invoice. - No breakfast on-site: you have to walk to their partner hotel Vienna House Easy Limburg which is 5 minutes walk next to an old gas station. Breakfast is very good there, but it is not so convenient if you have to carry your luggage and computer, so basically you may end up skipping your breakfast...

Check-in and check-out was so simple, which has not always been my experience with similar restaurant/pension situations. I really liked that Tafelspitz had everything set up to maximize convenience to the guest; there was a rear entrance for easy access at any hour. It was a warm evening and, while the room had climate control, we enjoy sleeping with open windows whenever possible. The rouladen made the room feel secure and private without sacrificing airflow. We were just very happy with our stay. It can be difficult to find nice lodging in Limburg and we do visit regularly so we'll be keeping this one on our list of preferred establishments.

We did not have any complaints related to the pension itself. Travelers should be informed that on weekends there may be loud young adults passing on the street below into the early hours of the morning but with the windows closed you will barely hear them.

10+++/A+++ great check-in young man. very easy and quick. He was EXTREMELY nice and helpful. Parking directly behind the property (public) but private , secure and easy to rear of hotel (7 euro) . Nice clean room with balcony, size of room was OK. Enough electrical outlets. Great walking distance to all old town sites. I needed an iron and there was an iron in the common area. good Wifi

Very good location, steps from Alt Stadt, clean and comfortable room. We were lucky to find a place for our car at the parking. We had tasty dinner at their restaurant.

Unfortunately they don’t serve breakfast.

Stunning location, easy parking, cosy clean room, easy access, scrummy breakfast, polite friendly staff. We will return!

Not sure what we would have done if we had got delayed on our journey and arrived after 2200hrs. It needs to be made clear to pay for parking at the reception not at the car park machine.

Perfectly happy staff willing to please us at all times. Especially trying to provide us with English black tea and getting breakfast just right!

So 3 person room was for our 80 year old mum to stay with us. The 3rd bed collapsed and her bed lats fell out. Not too impressed! We fixed it ourself but not too stable!

Hotel rooms on upper floor of a restaurant. Breakfast is proposed in a restaurant a few minutes walk. I didn’t have time to go there.

Right at the edge of the old town with the timber framed houses. The room is clear, quiet and comfortable. The shower has good pressure. Open air parking is right beside the hotel. The schnitzel at the restaurant is very delicious.

A very well run family hotel, with excellent food and good value breakfast, friendly and helpful staff.
