It is amazing how they managed to build such modern and comfortable rooms in such a delightfully ancient building. The room was even cool despite the heat outside, without an A/C (which I cannot say of my apartment...). The staff were very good, and the location is simply unbeatable; you walk out the door and immediately into the old town of Idstein.

Ok, if I really have to comment on something it would be the pillows? They were too thin for my taste. Well actually, they started out fluffy and voluminous, but slowly deflated in a hilarious way as soon as I put my head on one. But this is, as they say in Germany, "Meckern auf sehr hohem Niveau".

Beautiful old property. Great location for exploring Idstein. Staff was exceptional and very kind. Rooms are quaint and interesting...Their restaurant was amazing. Wonderful, elegant dinner. It was perfect for celebrating a Birthday.

We have stayed all over Europe, and it always comes to the bed and pillows not being that comfortable. We usually bring our own pillows. Beds were a bit firm for us and pillows a bit flat. That is just our preference though. That was it though, everything else was wonderful.

The building and decorations give the whole hotel a nice look and feel. Their restaurant serves wonderful dishes and also the breakfast is great.

For us all was good, nothing to complain about. Others may want to consider that there are no elevators (you will need to carry your luggage two levels up) and no airconditioner in the top levels. So it may get hot in the summertime, a fan is provided but if that will be enough is questionable.

Building gives you a holiday feeling And location in the old Nice city. Also close to some nice restaurants including biergartens and bakery. Nice parking next to hotel and serene and peacefull place for one or more nights.

Room was somewhat dark and although room was spacious with ‘seperate’ bedroom it was not completely separated which could be helpfull if you Travel with a baby.

The mattresses and pillows could use an update. On Booking.com the room was described as having coffee/ tea making facilities- this was not the case- however the lovely service lady offered to bring us coffee to the room in the morning:-)

One of the highlights here is the superb service, both at dinner & at breakfast - very attentive to detail and always going all-out to make people happy. What else is excellent is 1) the breakfast - nice way to start the day (especially since we were doing some eBiking along the Lahn in & around Limburg), and 2) the menu at dinner - nice & relaxing way to end the day after cycling.

Wonderful stay in such a charming town. Dinner in the courtyard by Chef Günter Rönner was the best meal we had during our stay in Germany. Absolutely wonderful. Friendly and accommodating staff for English speakers as well. Highly recommended place to stay if you are visiting Idstein.

It was a great location and the breakfast was very nice. I wish we could have stayed longer.

We had t knock on doors and get help to find our way in. We were late , but that was unavoidable. Was hoping our room. Had more old world charm as seen in website pictures.

An old historic building converted into a hotel. Room was comfortable. Excellent restaurant. Good position to walk into the historic town and good parking.

There was a constant low humming noise coming from a building adjacent…

The building is beautiful, great location and the room was big and nice.

I assumed breakfast was included since they directly asked me at what time did we want it instead of asking if we wanted it in first place.
