We certainly liked the location of the hotel within the old town of Idstein and the owners/hosts of the hotel were especially kind and accommodating. We arrived directly from the airport prior to our check-in time, to see if it would be possible to secure our belongings there before heading into Wiesbaden for the day. The lady at the front desk said it would be okay to do so, which was very helpful! Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Our room was decent size for being in old town. Breakfast the next day was great! There was traditional German choices, such as bread, meats, cheeses, fresh fruit, yogurt, and muesli. There were also scrambled eggs and bacon, along with coffee and a nice selection of teas! The dining area was bright and spacious. Note: You can park for free overnight in the Schlossplatz parking area. It is about a 5 minute walk from there to the hotel.

Great location in the historic town, excellent customer service ( after being accommodated with an early check in, I was pleasantly surprised with an upgrade, treats inside the room and overall friendly staff ). Many breakfast/ lunch/ dinner options within walking distance . Breakfast on site offered a good variety for all tastes. Highly recommended.

No parking on site but the city paid parking garage was within 5 min walking distance.

Lovely manager very friendly and wonderful room even though it was small it was perfect. Apple on the bedside with sparkling water too! Wonderful breakfast buffet with hot and cold options at a much better rate than the restaurants and cafes. Snack boxes on the hallways was a great idea - all priced at €1:20 to be put in the honesty box. Lots of healthy and sugary snacks available! The Free ice cream voucher for the cafe next door was a very nice gesture !

I had absolutely nothing I can think of to critique.

The high tec locks, the high tec bathroom, the movable shower, the heater in the bathroom. The number of pillow on onesingle bed was great. The breakfast on the first day was the best breakfast I have ever had till date. There was so much choice and everything tasted great.

There were a lot of scandavian features to the room which were a bit too high tec. Was a good learning experience. But if one is not aware of those features, one would spend a lot of time, trying to figure it out. For example, I did not know, I had to press the wash basin drain in the bathroom if I wanted the water not to drain out and had to press it again if I wanted to open the wash basin drain. So for one night I thought the wash basin was clogged and since the water had collected, I could not use the wash basin. But on the next day early morning, they did send someone to check out the wash basin and they let me know how it works. So that turned out ok. Morover, I was fascinated by these gadgets in the room.

I liked the hotel overall, it was very well located, right in the center in the old town. The staff was very friendly and even though I was right next to the main street, it wasn't noisy at all.

I didn't like that the morning of my check out there were at least 3 different people who knocked on my door and were even able to open the door. When they noticed I was there, they immediately left. But it was annoying and uncomfortable, so I'd recommend using another method for locking the doors and most definitely take care of that situation.

The staff were incredibly helpful particularly as I had a puncture on the motorway and only had a summer tyre to use. The receptionist rang a local tyre workshop and fixed an appointment for me and I had a new tyre within a short space of time and then continued on to my next destination.

Parking maybe but it was sorted out very quickly. No negative comments.

The accommodation at this hotel was of a high standard, offering comfort and cleanliness. The rooms were well-equipped with all necessary amenities. The staff were welcoming and attentive, and the hotel was home to a charming dog. Overall, our experience at the hotel was positive, and we would consider returning in the future. Thank you!

Would be nice to get a cup of tea or coffee at any time One day cleaner forgot clean towels even though put on floor and cleaning materials left in room as if unfinished?

Friendly staff and a well prepared breakfast buffet. Good location for seeing the village and excellent restaurants all around.

Parking was a bother. No real parking at the hotel and the meters are only good for an hour during the day around the city center.

The hotel is at the edge of the very picturesque old town. There are plenty of eateries close by.

Only one of the three rooms reserved had air conditioning. Fortunately, we were out most of the day and it had cooled off by the time we got back, so we cocked the windows to let the cool air in.
