The food at the restaurant was delicious! For dinner, we had the veal schnitzel with potato and cucumber salad, and we really enjoyed the freshly cooked eggs for breakfast, as well as the other breakfast foods at the buffet. The buildings are lovely and look historical. Our room was huge and extremely clean, which is the most important part for me. The bed was comfortable. The staff were kind and helpful. The hotel is well located, with only a 5 minute walk into the town center.

It's hard to find things I didn't like, but I would suggest that the hotel invest in some air conditioning units for the rooms and consider having a bike rental for the guests. I've been to Germany many times and always in the summer, and every time, it's been quite hot, making it difficult to sleep, even with the windows open because the sun shines through in the morning, and the bugs come in. An air conditioning unit in the room would definitely make for a better night's sleep. As for the bike rental, the hotel is located in such a pretty part of the German countryside that I'm surprised it's not already offered. I'd have loved to have rented a bike to ride around the countryside on our day off from driving home.

This Hotel is really amazing and was the best accommodation during our bike trip through the region. The breakfast was exceptional and overall the service was fantastic. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The balconies were great as we had two rooms next to each other so could share the outdoor area and go between rooms, although there were proper gates between the two so it wouldn't have been a negative thing if there were strangers next to us.

It would be perfect if there was some kind of pool or swimming option, especially as we cycled there we would have loved a refreshing dip at the end of a hard day. But this was not a big deal!

Very nice hotel in a small town, reachable rather well even by public transport. Breakfast was really good, staff was very friendly and helpful, and in general our experience was great! We were there for a wedding reception and the organization was really well done and everything worked perfectly.

The best check-in experience in a hotel (and I have been in many); the receptionist asked for my name - I got the room key + a few bits and pieces about the place (internet, breakfast) and within 1.5min we were on the way to our room. The breakfast was unbelievable - selection, quality of the products served, etc. - everything 1A. Keep up this standard.

The staff were amazing , the breakfast was sensational , and the view from my room of a ice covered lake and snow topped trees was dreamy.

That I had to go to a different building out in the cold to get a beer and for breakfast.... Also if the big boss sees this, please please please set up a sauna somewhere on your grounds as its missing a little wellness area.

super nice room and fantastic service. Cleaning daily. Nice to have a shower where there was real water pressure.

The only thing I'm missing is a small fridge in the room and the possibility to make a cup of coffee in the middle of the night.and that the kitchen was open in the evening at the weekend

Wonderful old hotel with lots of character. Large comfortable rooms, very nice staff, great breakfast and in a central location to visit Nuremberg, Bamburg and Rothenburg.

everything was beyond wonderful, even we had a little issue with our room not being available, but the receptionist who was in on duty at the time of our arrival managed to solve the problem and we were very satisfied, I just wish to remember her name as she deserves a thumbs up
