The hotel is very nicely decorated and has a luxury feel. Parking is convenient and on the grounds of the property. There is no elevator for guest use, but kindly one of the cleaning staff transported our heavy suitcases back down to the ground floor from the 2nd storey using the service elevator. The owner was very pleasant and perhaps a number of the staff could benefit from learning from her.

Sadly, the church bells which are located next to the hotel rang throughout the night, thereby interrupting our sleep. Breakfast was well presented, but overrun between 9:00am and 9:45am. The quality was good, but the experience was too hectic for our personal taste. It's unfortunate that not even coffee could be served at the table and breakfast staff were too busy to assist on even minor requests such as replacement cutlery. The check-in was rather officious and failed to meet our expectation of such a pleasant surroundings.

Very friendly welcome by staff in a very special and different hotel, annex winery. Excellent breakfast and a ''simple'' but great evening meal, with plenty of very nice wine choices (it is a winery). Nice quiet village next to the river Main.

Maybe a minor thing, but not for us. The nearby church rings it's bell (every quarter and every hour). We could not get used to it in our room facing the church and at breakfast we learned more people suffered from this loud church bell....

I loved the location in Frickenhausen, a beautiful, German medieval walled town, in the heart of a vibrant wine area. The hotel itself was stunning, a really warm and welcoming atmosphere, with beautiful features, wonderful wine, and food. The room was really cosy, with a very comfortable bed and its own balcony. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the decorations were very interesting!

The hotel is beautifully appointed. The staff were attentive, accommodating and friendly. The breakfast was superb and the house wine exceptional. The mini bar fridge was very reasonably priced which was a lovely surprise and so encouraged hotel guests to use it.

There was no beer available - fully appreciate that that it is a wine hotel.

Beautifully renovated stylish hotel in the tiny town of Frickenhausen. Our room had a huge balcony with a view over the old town, it was very pleasant. The best thing about this hotel is the amazing breakfast with anything your heart desires! There were a huge variety of different options, little portions of nice dishes, fruit, vegetables, porridges, everything served and arranged beautifully, like in the best brunch cafes of big cities. In the vicinity of the hotel are two decent restaurants, it is advised to book beforehand, because they can be quite full. There is a parking lot at the hotel and everything is walkable. A bottle of local wine at checkout was a great touch.

Lovely, beautifully restored historic building in the center of a beautiful town. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The menu in the dining room is small, but quality and taste are very good. Extensive breakfast with lots of different options.

The only thing I missed was coffee and tea making facilities in the room.

Stunning place with great updated interior. Very cozy couches and nooks with chairs to sit back and enjoy exellent wines. They also offer great snacks to go along with their wines. The staff is super friendly and accomodating. The rooms are spacious and tastefully furnished, modern and comfortable. Breakfast buffet is plentyfull, fresh and the ammount of loose tea selection is simply amazing. Great place, cannot wait to come back!!

Nothing not to like

Really beautiful place, spacious rooms, very helpful and kind staff, without being intrusive. I asked if the wellness area was open, they turned it on just for me, without even having to ask. Very tasty, varied and very well managed breakfast. Really nice environment, quiet and relaxing. Nothing to envy of 5-star hotels.

If I wanted, I would find some small things, but it's such nonsense that it's not worth it.

I stayed at the hotel for a girls weekend out and it was an amazing experience. The hotel staff was super friendly and we had a great time. It was very convenient to have the wine tasting directly at dinner, although it was not a traditional tasting with moderation, but rather the possibility to taste 3 to 6 generous glasses of different wines. The hotel prepared a backpack with wine, water and snacks, and provided us with a map to take a tour through the wine slopes. It was great fun, especially given the nice weather on Saturday. We were also able to enjoy the sauna for about three hours all by ourselves. I would definitely come back.

The dinner menu at the hotel is rather limited. And even if we enjoyed the tour by ourselves through the wine slopes we missed a guided tour in the wine cellar and/or the winery itself.

The unconventional, out of the ordinary approach to interior design, to service and to food. The excellent breakfast. And the local wine of course.

Nothing really. Maybe a lift to our upstairs room would have been great.
