We got the room, including breakfast, for a good price. It was as expected for a hotel of this category in Germany. and was certainly better than other places we stayed on our holiday for similar prices. Close to the ship canal and also the foot tunnel under the canal.

It is not central and the restaurant is expensive (not unexpected). However, on the other side of the canal (via the foot tunnel) there is a choice of at least three restaurants

Great central location but a quiet location, adjacent to the Kiel canal with the massive ships gliding by regularly, but noiselessly. Top quality food in the restaurant both dinner and breakfast.

I did turn up on a motorbike and was caught in heavy downpour just as I arrived but I didn’t expect to be looked at as if I had slept rough the night before. Rain is wet Madame Receptionist!

We stayed at this location because it was also a great view point for ships along the Kiel Canal and it's close proximity to Schleswig Air Base which was holding a NATO military air exercize. We travelled from Western Canada to be part of this event. Well worth the location plus if you have an EV, their recharging rates are very reasonable if your car is less than 50% charge.

Good spot to stop on the long drive from France to Sweden. Comfortable room and bed. Loved watching the boats go by on the canal. Excellent dinner and breakfast.

Some areas of the bathroom had not been cleaned thoroughly. While very good, the restaurant was expensive. If we stay here again we'll go out to town to eat.

The breakfast was perfect. The staff in the breakfast room was very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are clean, and all the rooms have a very nice view. The location of the hotel is very good. There is a tunnel at the canal and on the otherside of the tunnel there is a very nice Greek restaurant.

The reception has a little bit bossy attitude.

Easy to find hotel with ample car parking, and close to the tunnel across the canal into the main town. Slightly older hotel, but it is clean and everything worked. Found it a bit difficult to access the car park via the barrier, but then you can just drive out the other side.

We didn't pre-book dinner, and the restaurant was full... However, that forced us to go into town, and there's a really good Greek restaurant just on the other side of the tunnel.

Everything was superb! The hotel is excellent and the staff went above and beyond with their help for us and our dog who was treated so specially. The breakfast choice is varied and the restaurant served delicious food at a decent price and it was very interesting to be next to the world renowned Kiel Canal

Great location on the canal with lots of parking. Airy room, bathroom and comfortable beds. Short walk to eateries. Good breakfast.

At this price would benefit from a kettle and makings. Limited seating availability in the breakfast dining room (perhaps there was conference on?)

Impressed with the quality and professionalism of the staff. Very comfortable rooms. Good breakfast. Perfect location to see the canal and the bridge. Free car park with lots of space.

Functional and practical exterior compared to some of the beautiful buildings nearby.
