The staff were very helpful and kind and always trying to help us with the kids needs. The breakfast was pretty good with a nice variation. The wellness area looks pretty new and well maintained and we enjoyed using it. The kids loved the pool and the family sauna next to it. Locations-wise it was also pretty good, close to the train station and works as a starting point for hiking, and if you come by car, there are enough parking spaces. The restaurant food was also good and the staff there were lovely. This is a place I would definitely come back.

Light switch is outside the bathroom and may wake others in the room at night.... But it is nitpicking, since most of it was perfect.

Brand new spa

The property has old and new apartments. I payed for new apartments, but during check-in was sent to old apartments twice and one more time to partially renovated and only then to the new apartments, which I booked. The same happened with restaurants. This property has both old and brand new restaurants. When I came to the new one, they proposed me a table in an old one, while a number of free tables were available in the new restaurant. I simply was frustrated why I was forced every time to go to old spots if I prefer (and pay) for new ones. Apart from that, everything was good. Very good variety of food and delicious bred for breakfast. Super calm and not that busy SPA area, and clean swimming pool.

The staff were exceptionally welcoming, and the scenery was beautiful. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed and more. The hotel itself is cozy, and the breakfast felt like dining with family. The surrounding area is lovely, offering a wide range of exciting activities.

I would have appreciated having an air conditioner or fan in the rooms, as it was quite hot, particularly in the mornings. The beds were also a bit firm, and I would have preferred them to be softer. Although there was some construction work taking place, it was understandable. One evening, I wanted some water, but the kitchen was closed, and the vending machine only offered sparkling water. It would have been nice to have a still water option. Other than these points, everything else was perfect.

Vast and extremely well kept facilities with restaurant, spa, gym, all that you need for a wonderful time. Staff kind and helpful, food delicious, reasonable price.

Nothing

Once again we have been back to stay in the Ruhpoldingerhof! It is such a beautiful hotel, always charming and even when they are super busy - as they were during our stay - the staff are happy and polite, very helpful and patient. The hotel serves wonderful breakfasts and evening meals, and the facilities (especially the recently refurbished spa and wellness area) a first rate. Indeed, for a 3 Star 'Superior' (***S) hotel our stay rated as well, if not better, than a number of 4 Star hotels that we have experienced. We love it so much at the Ruhpoldingerhof that we are planning a further stay in February 2023 for winter sports (cross-country, ski touring and alpine skiing - all on the doorstep in the Ruhpolding area). Very much looking forward to our return trips and would thoroughly recommend the hotel to others.

The blinds were not dark enough, it was to bright in the room. The bathroom had a glass door, when I went to the bathroom at night, the light woke my partner. The coffee was horrible. So sad.

Spacious but cozy room, tastefully decorated. Lovely view from balcony. Nice bar with a welcome drink. Spa area is all new, with many areas for relaxing. Perfect for a romantic getaway weekend

The family spa was phenomenal. My two boys enjoyed unwinding in the pool in the evening. And it gave me a bit of time to relax and not be so involved! The restaurant is of course also wonderful!

I have stayed a number of times in the past (around 10 years ago) at the Ruhpoldinghof and so I knew what to expect. In the interim though the hotel has undergone some renovations and it is now even better. The wellness area has been expanded and for a 3 star hotel is first rate - sauna, infra-red cabin, swimming pool, family sauna, showers, etc., all beautifully appointed and first class in that rather understated Germany way. The hotel has a very good kitchen serving traditional German meals and my evening meal in the hotel was perfect. Local restaurants also come well recommended. Breakfast was excellent, the typical continental style with lots of variety and was more than ample. Staff were very helpful and attentive, going out of their way to ensure I had parking sorted out in their nearby off-street parking area. The room was excellent, very nice comfortable bed, and it had a well appointed bathroom. This part of Bavaria is stunning if you like being surrounded by beautiful mountains. There is more activities to do in the area than you can shake a stick at, including, in summer, cycling/e-biking, walking, mountain trekking, climbing, museums, etc., and in winter alpine skiing, cross-country skiing and much more. I would highly recommended this hotel which, as it's name suggests, in the centre of the town.

Absolute outstanding value for money! Brand-new five star spa with different, stunning saunas; very good food at reasonable prices. Brand new rooms, super clean, comfortable. Top-notch!
