Pros: Large family room with a separate bedroom. There were a couple of complimentary bottles of water, teabags in the kitchen and everything is clean and tidy. The family room looks over to the lake with a generous balcony that will be a very nice space to relax in during the warmer months. The beds were comfortable, the shower water pressure strong enough. Breakfast was lovely and the young man in the breakfast room (who also attends to guests at reception) was warm and friendly. We were particularly impressed when he remembered our request made a day earlier to borrow a vacuum cleaner (packing with vacuum sealed bags) on the morning we were due to check out without having to ask. There's a supermarket less than 5 minutes walk and various restaurants close by. Train station across the road is very convenient when traveling to nearby towns and with multiple nights a guest card allows free local train travel. Overall, a very comfortable stay.

Cons: When the hotel is full, parking can be a tight fit due to the small guest carpark. The curtains for the bathroom windows seem to be an afterthought. Train station across the road, while convenient, can be noisy due to its proximity. Price was on the high side, but supply for family rooms in the area was limited at the time of booking.

Great location. Within walking distance of train. Can hear the train from room. Didn't bother us though. Barely noticed. Ticket to Konstanz was 6 euros for the whole day. Multiple restaurants within walking distance of hotel. Netto within walking distance. We drove to Mainau Island. Took about 15 mins. Parking behind the hotel. Was full, so we used the paid lot in front of the hotel. Was 15 euros for 7 days. Hotel was extremely clean. Breakfast was great. Staff was great. Decor was lovely. Bed super comfy. Great size room for a couple. Would recommend.

Room with access to terrace, comfortable room, blinds that make it possible to block out all light. Breakfast was also very good for 3 reasons: - Very helpful chef - What was there was fresh and good quality. - There wasn't a huge choice of items. I like that because I'd rather the hotel offered smaller and fresher variety than waste too much just to impress. It was also very short walking distance away from the lake and local attractions for kids.

One thing though: I know most people don't crawl under the bed but little toddlers do. When mine came out the other side, he looked like he was wearing a camouflage. Please have your staff reach a bit further with a vacuum cleaner in there ;) Cleanliness elsewhere was very good.

This small B&B is well located in a quiet area at walking distance from the village centre and the lake. Free private parking space, a nice room and a small bathroom offering the comfort you need for a stop over. The breakfast buffet is complete and diverse. You can find some good restaurants nearby and the area is superb for walking and cycling.

Good spacious room, nicely modernised. A little traffic noise during the day but quiet at night. Hosts very welcoming. Breakfast varied and plentiful. Bike parking outside but under shelter. Close to everything in Allensbach.

Great location close to the lake. Excellent mattress. The room also had a comfy sofa and coffee table as well as a desk. There was also a kettle, with tea and coffee bags. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast very good. Would return.

A lovely hotel a few kms outside Konstanz. Near to the train station but no discomfort from train noise. Many restaurants in the village and one down by the lake which is an easy walk.

Loved the location and matched the description, easy checkin too. Breakfast was amazing too.

Only that it was really hot, and lots of storms so had to close windows which made the place quite to sleep.

Very convenient location, close to train station. Kettle and tea/coffee in room, which you don't often find in Germany. Delicious breakfast.
