I needed a stopover place to sleep during my trip and booked a room at Gästehaus Löwen. Although I booked quite late and my arrival time wasn't within the normal check-in times, the hosts called me and found a way to make it work. Friendly host, good English and lovely and comfy place! Sad I missed the breakfast but I'd recommend the place nonetheless :)

Beautiful property. Quaint guesthouse. The restaurant in the wine cellar was very good. Local cuisine is well prepared. Good wine and beer selection at reasonable price.

As it is an older property, you need to be able to carry your luggage up several flights of stairs. It was expected by us. But something you may need to consider.

Staff helpful. The breakfasts were excellent, self service, good quality and very varied, both hot and cold choices. Dinner was also good, if a little expensive. The shower was large and efficient. There was a lift.

Having parts of the hotel in slightly different locations was confusing at first. The room was a bit small for the price. When I notified the staff that my sink was cracked and smoke detector missing, they seemed genuinely surprised. I forgot to tell them my duvet was ripped: but a small thing!

Good variety of breakfast options. Good layout and fresh.

Breakfast was from 8am which was a little late for one of the mornings of our stay. I didn't ask whether it was possible to start breakfast earlier but it would be good to have an earlier start.

Nothing. Maybe the only thing to mention is the fact that we arrived at a Sunday evening, on which the restaurant is closed. For dinner, we had to find a different location.

Exceptionally good value for money. Clean rooms. Politely and nice staff, after 16:00 they support us to find the rooms and the keys.

Breakfast was ok, but would have appreciated more juice... even with those tiny glasses the jug was able to fill 4 at best.

Everything. Especially the breakfast was really great! Room was really big and nice!

If there would be fridge in the kitchen it will be even better!

There were only narrow curtains in the room. As the windows lead to the road, the light from outside disturbed our sleep a little.

parking was nearby but not so you could keep an eye on it seemed like a safe area though
