I definitely recommend it, comfortable, well located, very good breakfast and very helpful and nice staff. Will definitely return if I have the chance.

The smell on the bottom floor (basement) off putting but room 32 was completely fine (excellent actually).

There was some construction going on on first floor near breakfast room.

Location was good. Close to the railway station, town centre, a lovely bakery/coffee shop and a bike hire shop. The hotel was helpful in allowing us to make several changes to booking dates and arrival time and even contacted us by telephone before we left London to inform us of hotel access arrangements as we were planning to arrive during the early hours.

There was no facility in our room to hang clothes. No wardrobe or chest of drawers, not even coat hooks. Nor were there tea/coffee making facilities, or soap/shampoo provided. There was no basic information about the hotel in the bedroom, including details of evacuation procedures.The reception desk was not manned for most of the 24 hour period though there was a telephone number to contact. We arrived at 3.00am and had to gain entrance via a key box. The front entrance was not lit which made this difficult.

Some staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was okay. At the kitchen they promptly cooked a new egg for me after my remark that the ones there were overcooked.

There was nothing to block sunlight entering through the huge window of the room. The towel was small. The 60s atmosphere of the whole building. Location is not the best one for exploring Uelzen although not far away from the station. At the reception, they could not confirm at which time I should do the check out. The old and small TV at the room with a pretty limited channel selection. No fridge at the room.

The receptionist called me on my mobile, to make sure I was going to arrive before reception closed, which was great as my train was delayed by a fallen tree. Breakfast was o.k. Very nice restaurant 5 mins walk away called Opatija, good quality food, beer & very reasonable.

The place is very tired. Missing & damaged lampshades, rotten wooden slats on the balcony, carpet doesn't fit around edges of room. Silverfish (insects) in bathroom. Reflected in price compared with other hotels in area.

everything is old and the price is too expensive for the quality of the place. This place needs a lot of improvements if they want to charge 100 euro per night.
