What a wonderful hotel! This was the absolute highlight of our cycling trip along the Mosel. The moment we arrived at reception we were advised to sit and relax in the sun and each given a glass of delicious Mosel wine...what a welcome! This set the tone for our stay, as we felt very well looked after. There is a secure bike store for anyone cycling the Mosel. The food in the restaurant was top quality, as was the advice from the junior sommelier about wine pairing. The breakfast was possibly one of the best I've ever experienced in any hotel, in terms of choice and the quality of the food. On top of that the rooms was lovely and the bed was super comfortable. We will definitely be back for another visit as soon as we can as one night was not enough.

Evening meal was amazing - they were voted 6th out of 1850 regional restaurants in Germany Breakfast was an all you can eat buffet with a wide range of choices. Minibar was good value - €7.50 for a 75cl of their own wine free mineral water in the room was a nice surprise

when we arrived there was a strange smell in the room. At first my wife was suspicious but then we realised it was the smell of the brand new carpet:) Car parking could be an issue in peak season as its not nearby and this is a very old town centre

We stayed at one of the apartments, which instantly felt like home. Particularly dinner was well above expectations and the 'Gasthaus des Rieslings' title is well earned with the enormous variety of Rieslings (and other wines) being offered, even >100 by the glass. Amazing. With much higher expectations as a result of the dinner, the breakfast still managed to deliver above expectations. Will definitely be back!

Nitpicking; the village isn't the prettiest around. The river, vineyards and surrounding villages make up for that.

Spacious nicely decorated superior double room (Weissburgunder). Cozy restaurant. Breakfast buffet offering a wide selection catering to all tastes. Friendly staff.

No problem for us, but there are stairs leading up to the rooms making the hotel unapt for people with limited mobility.

Nice smaller hotel with very extensive breakfast. The older gentlemen in the restaurant was really great. He gave the hotel the small family feel you expect with this type of hotel. The bulli tour which was organised by the ladies at the reception quite last minute was really great!

The location is in a smaller town which is quite quiet in April still. So a lot of sights are a bit of a drive away. We also had quite an impersonal check in which was unexpected. The same gentlemen was also the sommelier in the restaurant. We felt his service was very unpersonal. He ticket his boxes.. But it is not about creating an experience with the guest. 2nd day the room was not cleaned. That was a bit disappointing.

Lovely location and a nice surprise for us really. We had been on holiday, touring northern Italy and needed to break up our trip back to the uk. We looked on a map to see roughly where we wanted to get to and started searching. This place came up and we just thought “why not?”. We were warmly greeted and helped enormously by the receptionist to get our car parked, a table reserved for dinner and settled in. The restaurant was lovely (we sat outside), food and wine both delicious. We liked the wine so much, we bought several bottles to take home with us. The staff here were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was fabulous too and loved the slightly quirky decor! We would certainly consider coming back here in the future.

We do think our room was pretty dusty. My husband is susceptible to dust and brings on an asthma attack, which happened during the night. No great drama and he lived to tell the tale. But something perhaps for hotel to take a look at.

Absolutely amazing hotel - we were just only for one night, but i can amagine one week vacation. Room was big with lots of equipiment. Our kids love it!

There was little bit cold, because we had a alst time reservation - but that was not problem. Also stairs was little bit dangerous for our kids.

Staff as very friendly. Excellent restaurant, but book ahead! They close the kitchen early.

The rooms were really great and quirky, good facilities and included a sauna. Very comfortable and in a great location.

The hotel is over a few buildings and access to our rooms were challenging with large suitcases and would be no good for anyone with infirmities. 3rd floor access via a small wooden windy staircase.

Fantastic breakfast with fresh juice, tasty cheese&meet, waffles, nice coffee & tea. The room was clean, warm and lovely. Free parking is also a good bonus.
