The hotel is near by good beach.You need to use acqua shoes,but the place is with clean and relax natura.The hotel is very clean,with parking,good location,best view,good staff and good food on breakfast.I recommend Sunset Hotel!

The view from the balcony was the best part. I could see the ocean, the village/city of Ouranopoli because this hotel is located on a hill (i guess). It was really great. The breakfast was good. It was a buffet-style breakfast consisting of pastries, fruits, vegetables, eggs, some drinks, etc. The location is about a 10-15 minute walk from Ouranopoli. It's on a hill so you may need to put some effort in to reach it but on the bright side - going to the city is very easy, The staff was great. They accommodated an early check in when I had to arrive at 5:30 AM. They allowed me to call them and a friendly staff member gave me the keys. Overall, the staff was helpful in terms of looking out for my hotel key once I decided to go for a swim. Also, I was allowed to extend the checkout by 1 hour and this really helped out a lot. The room had a giant, queen size bed - it was very comfy. The room had a lot of power plugs so you can charge multiple devices with ease which allowed me to sit with my laptop on the balcony. The room had enough towels, it offered shampoos & soap. There was no tooth paste but that is something you can get from the city. Overall, I really enjoyed staying at the hotel and would wholeheartedly recommend it.

A minor thing: I wish the doors would open a bit easier. You sort of need to pull it towards you before the key turns but that was a bit inconvenient. The pulling bit wasn't always easy.

The proprietor stayed on duty later than expected to welcome me as I was delayed somewhat in travel, for which I was truly grateful at the end of a long day. Recently refurbished, my room and ensuite bathroom with magnificent sea-views, was spotlessly clean, staff were courteous and polite and continental breakfast was excellent. A short walk down the hill and left was Athos Bar/Restaurant. Arriving to a warm welcome, smart casual ambience and tablecloths, I was beginning to anticipate a good meal. I wasn't disappointed. First rate calamari, good wine and steak dinner. Excellent.

The toaster at breakfast needed a new element, the only minor detail in an otherwise perfect stay. 🤣😂

Perfect location for a quiet stay in Ouranoupoli. Walking distance to the center and to shopping streets as well as to the local Port (connecting with the Mount Athos monasteries). Quiet area uphill with view on the Port and sea shores. Excellent breakfast with flexibility on the timetable, welcoming attitude by the manager's family with plenty of attention and care for the guests. Wifi powerful in all structure, nice bar and outdoor patio restaurant located just in front of the Hall (pertaining to the Hotel). A trendy private sandy beach is quite nearby (belonging to a Residence but with affordable entry for outsiders upon drink consuming at the bar), offering also sun-loungers and umbrellas.

The hotel has a wonderful view and is located in a peaceful area. It takes about 10 minutes to reach the city center and only 5 minutes to a beautiful wild beach. The rooms are thoroughly cleaned every day, and towels are changed daily.The hosts are very discreet but always ready to help.

The hotel is situated on a hill, which might be challenging for people who are not in good shape or if you're returning under the sun. There are no mosquito screens on the windows and doors.

Proximity to restaurants, stores. Air conditioning in the room, balcony, a drying rack for your bathing suit and beach towels. Daily housekeeping. Breakfast included, fruit available also. The room also hade a shade cover on the balcony. The staff was really nice. The hotel has a bar on the premises, coffee, drinks, ice cream, with a spectacular view. Private parking was available. The room also had a mini refrigerator and a small seif.

The bed linens, it was hard to sleep in them, being so hot outside. Would have liked for them to be more qualitative. The breakfast could have been a bit more varied.

Amazing view from our room . Friendly host and perfect staff . Good breakfast. Enough places for parking around the hotel. Nice wild beach 200m next to us . Also amazing caffe-bar to the hotel with beautiful view, cocktails and nice music for full relax

Clean and large room, comfy bed, sea view, quiet location. The person from the reception was extremely kind: he provided me all the details concerning the ships going to Athos, he allowed me to keep my car in the hotel's parking until my return from Athos and he also offered to take me by car to the port (it's a 10 min walk).

Good breakfast, but without fresh vegetables and fruits, perhaps because we've not been during the season.

Quick and efficient check in. Really clean and spacious room. Private balcony with great view of the sea and islands. The hotel is set back from the main road into Ouranoupoli and a short walk from the town, so it’s really peaceful. The views from the hotel (particularly the terrace bar) are unrivalled. There are some nice bakeries and a good choice of restaurants in the town. The breakfast is simple but great quality. Greek salad, fruit, yoghurt, etc. Carry your tray across the road and sit on the terrace overlooking the town! The view is exceptional. There is a really pleasant beach just five minutes from the hotel. The water is warm and crystal clear. There are hiking trails immediately out the back of the hotel which were easily navigable with the maps.me app. I saw a couple of tortoises. It was quite hot hiking in July, but I survived. Take lots of water. The boat trip down to Mount Athos was fun and gave an insight into the monasteries and we saw dolphins. There are lots of quiet beaches to choose from (10-30 minutes stroll) south of the town. This is a beautiful and relaxing place slightly off the beaten track to which I will return.
