Spacious and well equipped. Everything was of a good quality. Scrupulously clean. Good bathroom/ shower with plenty of hot water. Excellent breakfast with wide range of options. Large terrace with superb views across to the Hora. The owners kindly met us at the port, at 2am, and dropped us off again at the end of our stay. They were helpful in arranging a hire car for us, which we realised was necessary to make the most of our trip.

A small point: Astypalea is a windy island and our stay coincided with a spell of particularly strong winds. The elevated position of the property did mean that it caught the winds and it was impossible to use the terrace on some days as there was no shelter.

The accommodation was great. Breakfasts were top notch! We still remember the fresh orange juice and the hostess' home baked sweets. Our hosts were helpful in everything, the service was perfect. The accommodation was clean, daily cleaning was a reality. An advantage was the fact that when the shutters were closed it was possible to create absolute darkness in the apartment. As for the location, it was quiet. It is a short walk from the accommodation to the nudist beach Tzanaki. However, if you want to travel around the whole island, we recommend renting a scooter :).

For a negative I rate the illustrative photos, which mislead a lot about the proximity to Chora (the center of the island's capital). We were also a bit short of kitchen equipment (like a pot or a toaster), but we could have done without it. And of course the stairs :) (we lived all the way upstairs)

The property was excellent from arrival pick up to the departure we could not fault our stay. We were friends travelling and had 2 apartments both excellent with fabulous views across to Chora. Easy walk into the local town Livadi which offered an excellent choice of restaurants and great swimming. Breakfast offered a good choice daily with homemade savoury and sweet treats, good coffee and fabulous outlook. We also hired an electric car which was excellent and easy to get around and explore.

Nothing to complain about it was an excellent stay.

Beautiful, clean spacious, quiet room with a patio with a great view on Livadi bay and Chora. Breakfast was excellent. Staff always kind and helpful. thank them all. Really a great place to unwind and get the most of this wonderful island. Had a great time here.

Just a suggestion: a couple of the deck-chairs in the patio would help to enjoy the stay even more.

The view was breath taking!!! Antonia the owner was so welcoming and helped us with every question we asked her! Always smiling! We feel lucky to have met her and stayed at Aelia!!!

Spotless clean with great view! The hosts were very polite and willing to help in any way they can. Very nice homemade breakfast with fantastic pies!

Beautifully appointed studios with stunning views. Fabulous breakfast looking over the water. Our host Antonia was wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend Aelia.
