The staff was fabulous! The location was beautiful! We had an issue with losing all of our money and travel documents (including copies of credit cards and passports) as we mistakenly left it on a Sea Bus in Mykonos. Connie made countless phone calls and got the manager of the property involved in order to retrieve them. It was such a relief to us that they took so much concern in our problem and were able to contact the right people to get it sent to the hotel, all the while they sent us on our way to enjoy our excursions and sightseeing. The breakfasts were amazing - I have never had such yummy food at breakfast. Again I could never be more grateful for what they did to help us. This is the best place to stay on Naxos.

We were treated extremely well by the staff; true Greek hospitality. From free transportation from/to port upon arrival and departure to the helpfulness of the staff at reception to the hospitality of the staff at the bar/restaurant, all was excellent. We spent time on our balcony every eventing looking at the view of the sea and Portara- truly wonderful. We stayed here four nights and just loved it.

The room and bathroom were pretty tight quarters. The view and balcony made up for it (Room 47 or 48) and I would request this room again. Some people might by more bothered by the small size.

We stayed the last week of March and when you travel a lot and experience many hotels you just know when the service and hotel quality is beyond what is expected for the price. This is the case for this hotel. I analyzed why was I impressed with this hotel? I believe because of two primary reasons, first the service went beyond the check-in experience. And second because the hotel upkeep, maintenance, cleanliness and the overall updated room condition from the floors, walls, fixtures and furnishings were excellent. But if you have difficulty walking or young children, know that the hotel is a about 1000 meters to the port Main Street but can be shortened to about 700 meters by taking a rocky path with about 150 meters of that distance being a short but inclined pathway. My only issue was when using the upper shower head some splashing would make it out onto the bathroom floor, but this has been common in many of the hotel showers that do not have complete enclosure and the shower floor towel helps to dry it out. Don’t expect a nice sandy beach, that’s a further walk from this area. Those responsible for the hotel have done a marvelous job keeping it updated and having the right staff, congratulations! The hotel staff were great, especially Connie and your housekeeping ladies, so hopefully you take good care of them. Connie was great at receiving us and throughout our stay. The hotel provided a transfer from/to the ferry port which was unexpected, we arrived early and expected to leave our luggage until check-in but fortunately our room was ready and they were able to accommodate an earlier check-in along with a welcome drink and breakfast every morning. The hotel had a beautiful view from the eating area and the rooftop. I noticed some rooms have sea views. For us an older couple, this hotel was perfect and the nightly rate exceeded our expectations which makes a good formula for a great hotel experience. Truly one of our top hotel stays of our trip.

This property is exceptional. Staff are exceptional (shout out to Connie and Constantina- who did everything to help us and make our stay incredible). Sophia was also extremely friendly too. The chef made the best breakfasts, with a range of exceptional local delicacies, flans, roast vegetables, salads, fruit salads, yogurt and delicious fruit compotes - she”s a real artist. All while in the breakfast room looking over the water. The rooms were well cleaned and the spa you can book for half an hour was a delight. The Grotta is a gem!

We were met at the Naxos airport by Dimitris from Hotel Grotto. He and all other staff members were very kind to us during our stay. On our first morning at Hotel Grotto we were greeted in their restaurant by a breakfast spread that was beyond belief! There was something delicious placed on this large table that would satisfy anyone. The location is just a 5-minute walk to the town center of Naxos where there are many restaurants and shops as well as transportation. Hotel Grotto's roof deck affords beautiful views all day, but especially at sunset.

Everything was fantastic. I cannot say enough good about the staff at Hotel Grotto and its hotel facility.

First and foremost - "location, location, location" for the best sunset view you could wish for. The hotel is located a short walk from Naxos town, some of which is an unmade pathway up a hill (not suitable for the infirm). However, it is worth is for the views. All the staff were so friendly and happy to answer any questions, give you some recommendations if needed. They also arranged our care hire which was excellent value. The breakfast spread is magnificent, beyond all you could wish for to start your day. The variety of cakes, tarts, pies, meats and fruits offered every day was outstanding. They also have a food menu for the evening - we ate here a couple of evenings and it was all delicious. The were also little touches such as a cake being left for us in our room every afternoon, as well as a complimentary bottle of wine part way through our week's stay. Provision of beach towels was also a huge bonus.

It was faultless - we liked it all

This is just the most fantastic hotel. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and kind at every turn. They organised a hire car, a boat tour and restaurant bookings with great recommendations to make the most of our time in Naxos. Free transfer to the airport and ferry port. Nothing was too much to ask. I have coeliac disease so getting safe gluten free food on holidays can be really hard. The hotel owner has a daughter with coeliac disease and they went above and beyond to provide the most incredible breakfasts and dinners for me. I felt so cared for. If you don’t have any allergies you’re also in for a culinary delight. I’ve never seen such an incredible spread at even the best 5 star hotel anywhere in the world. My partner was in heaven. The hotel itself had an incredible view from the room, the restaurant and the rooftop. I think it has the best views in Naxos. There is an on site car park which made life with a hire car so easy. The room was charming and had everything we needed. we had the most stunning balcony. The bed was big (if a little hard). The shower was big and modern. The hotel is located just outside the old town which means you’re in a modern building with modern amenities and a great view from a hill, but just a 5 minute walk to enjoy the charm of the old town. The reviews for this place cannot do it justice. Don’t hesitate, just book it.

The hotel was such a lovely place for a stay in Naxos. Just stunning views from our room of the sea and Apollo’s Portara. Short 5 minute walk to the center of town. Limited parking available but we had no trouble securing a spot most evenings. The staff were all amazing and friendly, and the breakfast was exceptional. We also found the welcome drink and snacks a lovely touch. The beach towel borrowing was also so amazing as with small luggage we had not brought any, but it allowed us to have a beach day. Was 100% satisfied with our stay and would stay again if we return.

It wasn’t a dislike really, but we never used the spa area because it was a sign up (so it can be a more private experience). Just make sure to sign up when you arrive so you have that experience.

From the moment we arrived, we were embraced with the genuine warmth of the staff, led by the exceptional Dimitris who not only welcomed us but also graciously ensured our smooth transition to and from the port. The breakfast experience at Hotel Grotta was nothing short of spectacular. An incredible array of homemade pies, desserts, and salads awaited us each morning, leaving us speechless with their exquisite flavors and freshness! The family-run atmosphere curated by Nikoletta and her team made us feel right at home. Their friendly demeanor and eagerness to assist us with local recommendations, whether it was suggesting the best spots to explore or the finest dining establishments to indulge in, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our every need was met! The hotel's strategic location, just a brief stroll away from Chora, provided us with easy access to Naxos's vibrant atmosphere while offering breathtaking sea views to awaken to each morning. Our experience was 10/10. It's a place where warm hospitality, delectable cuisine, and stunning vistas converge to create unforgettable memories. Thank you!

The best part of this hotel is the staff. They are so friendly and go out of their way to help. The breakfast is outstanding. There are so many homemade sweet and savory delicious options, and the coffee was also excellent too. The location is close to the port where you can shop and have plenty of choices for lunch and dinner. The bed was excellent - even more comfortable then the one we had at coco mat in athens.

A slightly larger room; slightly better bathroom laylout - the shower / door was not ideal . We loved the rooftop lounge area, but having a littlw more shade would have been great.
