The inn is in a beautiful setting, is very clean, and comfortable. Cindy was our host and she was extremely helpful in offering suggestions for sight-seeing. She also provided a delicious breakfast for us to take with us when we had to leave early. Breakfasts include an assortment of breads, cheese, meats, fruits and soft boiled eggs. And, when I noted that we were interested in the sheep, she invited us to attend the owner's presentation about sheep ranching. We would like to return and have more time to take local hikes.

It was all wonderful.

The Holt Inn was a perfect, charming guesthouse. We absolutely loved it! It was conveniently set off the highway in a bucolic farm area surrounded by mountains and fields of flowers. The rooms were so comfortable, there was plently of privacy, and fresh air. The breakfast was delicious, and the patron was very kind about making sure we did not have any allergies that needed substitutes. It was very close to many activities and restaurants, but in an oasis of an area. I wish we had another night there!

Nothing! We loved it!

The room was comfortable. We lived the common eating area where there was a microwave and a fridge. They even had an ice maker! The staff bent over backwards to help us. We loved talking to the woman who ran things.

The shower temp fluctuates unpredictably.

Location is amazing surrounded by a lot of mountains. Breakfast included. Dining area with microwave and fridge is free to use for all guests at any time. Can access living room with TV. Hot tub within close proximity with a private shower area close to it. Bikes can be borrowed with no extra cost. Staff was really helpful.

Room is a bit small

Everything at this place was great, from the welcome note for check-in (as we had to arrive later than the agreed time due to driving slower than expected) to the room and the outside area facilities. The location is quite in the middle of nowhere meaning peaceful and truly relaxing. The Inn even has an EV charging station for its guests which we were really appreciative for. The room was modern and although not big, it was very comfortable. We had a pivate bathroom with good water pressure and temperature too. Breakfast in the morning was great, they even had lactose free milk, which wasn't the case with other properties we stayed at during our trip. As for outside, you get 360 degrees of stunning views. There are 2 swings in a play area just before you get to the showers and hot tub. Totally clean and well-kept with the hot tub being the highlight. Perfect water temperature to enjoy the setting sun on a good weather evening.

There was nothing we didn't like during our stay

Good breakfast, which was necessary due to isolated location. Hotel is surrounded by fields and many varieties of birds and flowers. Large clean room with hot showers. Hotel provided bikes, hot tub, small library and lounge deserving a longer stay than overnight. Mountain view. Trust system for soft drinks. Washing lines.

Never really had interaction with staff until checkout. Fortunately none was necessary. We were under the impression that the hotel was in Flateyri when it is in Holt, a fair distance away (9 KM) , by car, across a bridge and quite isolated. We arrived a little late and finding a place to eat was difficult. Travelers should take this into account and eat and purchase any supplies before arriving.

We stayed for one night at Holt Inn, mainly because accommodation options were limited at Isafjordur for our travel dates. Breakfast spread was good. Clean room! Easy comms with the staff as we were late to arrive.

Room was drafty, likely because the building is old. We could feel cold wind coming in through sockets, the toilet flush and other parts of the walls.

Amazing views to the mountains from the windows, beds were clean and comfortable, there was a bonus hot tub outside, which was very secluded. Tasty breakfast with a large selection. Options to rent bikes and helmets. Sheep outside, very friendly, had a lovely time petting them.

Bathroom door was a sliding one, no handle on the inside and didn't close completely.

A hotel in paradise. Located very close to Flateyri, it is a charming little hotel with even more charming staff. We arrived very late but the hotel made everything in the dining room kitchen available to us so we could prepare dinner with what we had in the car. So we were able to have a wonderful dinner and go to rest. Beautiful, clean and comfortable for the traveler. Taking care of all the details and that is very appreciated. Thank you for such a nice experience

The location was great, staff were nice and helpful. The room was comfortable with a nice view and the Wifi was good. Breakfast was generous with many options. The Inn was a former boarding school which was converted into accomodation in recent years. The sitting room was the old classroom with lovely views to the fjord.
